In that comic, the girls all represent different factions of Metal.

The Slipknot chick is into 'modern' Metal, while the others are Thrash, EuroMetal and Hardcore fans.

And yes, it is a fantasy warlock.

It's actually wearing a chain mail shirt, scale-mail, plate segments inspired by the Roman lorica segmentata and byzantine style cataphract armouring on his wirsts and attached to his boots..

Couple of my things then

A random sketch I found recently when I was doing some spring cleaning on my computer.

Work in progress right now, though probably better regarded as a 'work in progress, that has been halted as I'm stuck wondering how to draw a bloody window, of all things'

And I've probably posted this before in another drawing thread, but I love it so. I do enjoy taking a large marker pen to a picture in the name of adding shadows. Wanting to focus on this sort of thing

Regarding the faces - though most of my pics are like that, I really do notice how weak the face looks on the second picture. I was focusing on cross-hatching in that one, and I couldn't think how to do the face.

Very true. The first one is wielding a sword that's far too big for him, the second is a simple town guard. The third is me in what was supposed to be a parody of the old "superhero atop building" (ala Batman or Spiderman), I just got too carried away with the shading that it looks a bit more serious
