You ARE aware what's my handle at Poly, right?
Anyway, I think your graphics are beautiful and You should try applying for a job in some computer gaming company :)

It gets in the way of everyone and conflicts with whatever anyone else wants to do.. The only place I can draw in is my brother's room, and he has more right to be in there than I do since he goes to school and I don't do anything except waste time and do nothing.

Don't quit :please: :( !!!!!!!

To hell with that. Draw on the kitchen table, draw on the bathroom walls, draw on your brother. What are they gonna do about it? I tell you what they gonna do... they gonna make some space for you to draw.

Fight tha powa!

I know who you are, Heresson ;)

And as for the game company job, are you trying to stop me from becomming immortal? :p My book is nearing the stage where it shall be published :) (lets keep fingers crossed)

1 thing: don't kill your brother before you draw on him, just draw on him. If they think you are directing your frustration towards a member of the family, they will make space for you to draw. The table and walls stuff is just for fun and might be enough anyway.

I keep my fingers crossed for You. What is it about and when do I get a free copy?

I can't draw in the kitchen because my dad is always there. The bathroom is almost always in use. My brother is the size of a rugby player, and he goes to school and is trying to get a job.

I've been fidgetting with some story ideas and character models...

I've redrawn some old characters...

Theres a deep story for every characters I make. The story finds high inspiration from Japanese, European, and Russian influences... However the main influence came from the film 'Spirited Away beautiful peice of work which has opened my mind to the surreal and unknown. My ideas while deriving influence from the sources also hope to be original, as I write the story I'll probably post it for you comrads.

Anyways heres some characters:

Pitch (Nickname, music inspiration), Ruri, and Murad. Drawn in anime fashion, opinions and comments would be appreciated:

- Pitch's influences comes largely from music ideas in terms of personality. The mask is symbolic in his mindset and parts of his garb are influenced from past military figures (including Hannibal Barca)
- Ruri isn't a human character but rather more plant, in this case a venus fly trap. Original designs show a more spirited girl but rather the current design paints a diffrent veiw. Yet the character plays a large part and evoles through out the story.
- Murad, if you haven't guessed, is fixed up of Islamic influence. The characters role in the story is very dep and conflicted, though he seems more a fighter he actually fits the bill of scholar more then else.

And before you comment on coloring... it was done pixel by pixel on MSN paint. Takes a long time, luckily I dont sleep much ;)

I moved onto Machinima so I doubt that any of my posings and screenshots would apply here/

Chukchi: Is it just a flat surface you need? If you don't require much room, you can do as I do and use a clipboard as your drawing station. Whatever you do, don't abandon art altogether; you have the skill to go places.

That being said, i dedicate this piece to Chukchi Husky. Keep the flame alive!

Anybody who's been following ye olde DRAW Your Own Story in Forum Games will know I've started exhibiting my artistic talent. This picture is pretty much the exact same style, minus the faux pen tint. Oddly enough, for all the erasing and redrawing, the original scan is about as clean as this.

The idea behind this was originally set to a full cartoon sequence; then a few days ago, I thought, "I can do it in one panel, and better."

Enjoy my première.

draw on your bed with a book as a hard surface
My bed is in my brother's room.

Chukchi: Is it just a flat surface you need?
And lighting. I have really poor eyesight.

I don't have any skill in drawing, and if I did I wouldn't be able to do anything with it. I know someone who's far more talented in art than I am and he studied art and he said that jobs that require art as a skill no longer exist, and he's an optimist.

Goshdarn it! Don't be emo and self-deprecating! Draw for fun! Draw for happiness... don't draw for a job...

And above all: DRAW!

I have poor eyesight too! Draw wherever! Draw outside! Draw next to the window! Draw here, draw now :p

Please don't abandon it for silly reasons :(

You have no harsher critic than yourself.
I was much the same as you: when I compared my work to 'established' artists, I saw little future in it. But, believe it or not, it was you who encouraged me to go public with my sketches, and I was pleasantly surprised by the positive reception I received.

No skill in drawing? I've seen people who think they can draw, but wouldn't be paid for toilet paper. I've seen people who think themselves abysmal, and they have made the best work I have ever seen. You have much more talent than you think, as the forumers here will attest. You may not see a full-time career in it, but I'm sure that you can find at least one person willing to pay you for your work.

But even barring business, you should not squander this skill. If it is something you enjoy, you have nothing to lose by doing it. Do not think you must draw for others; draw for yourself. Years from now, you will have something to fondly look back on.

My two cents. Always remember: you're better than you think.

I hope you all don't mind that I share my story.

A couple of years ago, I basicly halted all of my creativity when a couple of trollers started saying that the units that I made for Civ3 were crap (eventhough they have been well prased here in CFC). Well, it was not recently that I started regaining my confidence back into creativity after seeing the works of Thorvald and Kan as well as being prased for my comics in the DYOS.

Never put yourself down CH, you have a special talent that you have yet to unlock.

Can you post a pic of the timid fox you had drawn?
This one?

If I did I wouldn't get in trouble for it as I wouldn't be wasting my time.

I'm not an artist.

When I did drawing at school no one liked them, especially my art teachers.

I don't have any talent.
