Duplicate Civ Issue

My Wife has started playing CIV V but she said she has come up twice with duplicate civs while playing.

Example, She chose to play Egypt and chose 8 other random civs but while playing she came accros another Egypt?


Any clues why this has happend, in all my years of playing CIV I have not come accross this?

Next time she starts up a game, check the Advanced Setup screen. This usually happens when someone sets a specific opponent in one game -- that setting is preserved for future games, including games where you choose to play that civ. If that is the case, just reset that screen.

As an aside, you can set up a game where you play against seven Huns, or seven Zulus. Quite unnerving, particularly on a cramped map....
