I went back without saving and managed to save everyone. So everyone is still alive.

Then keep it. I have good ideas though... Start near a goblin fort. Remove all traces and dig down. And years later build your strenght and raze the goblin fort!

I still can't get the hang of regualers.. although I do have a good workshop configeration there.

That doesn't work so well. I have done it and it is better to kill all the goblins first and then dig.

Few questions: How to get past aquifiers? How to wall off a volcano without five out of seven dead? How can you find farmland, glass/sand AND no aquifiers?

Aquifers are very hard to get past unless you have the materials to do so. Farm can be on any dirt underground.

If the first wave includes a swordsman, make me that dude. Otherwise, an archer is better.

I request that my Dwarf do something brave and daring, just once, in order to justify his position of authority. Then if he survives, he should spend the rest of his life hiding in the safest part of the fortress
