Sounds like a mod not a stand alone game...I wonder if they'll include the Charlotte cheat?
I think they have to remake Colonization's awesome original musics. This is a very important point to help players catch their old days.
That's so true. I don't know why but Colonization is the ONLY game that I ever played with the music on!![]()
Indeed! I still find myself humming or whistling those tunes on a daily basis. I want them back!Aye, the music was very nice indeed!
Hmm... I would assume it'd also be fairly easy then to carry over Civ4 SDK/python mods and modcomps into Colonization then.
I wondr if this game will perhaps include a more elaborate trading system than CIV4.
I hope they add new types of goods. Cigars/Cloth/Rum/Coats got a bit old.
I second that!I hope they add new types of goods. Cigars/Cloth/Rum/Coats got a bit old.
Don't forget some opiums, Firaxis hasn't. They have a poppy patch shown in one of the pics
Totally agreed about the music; it may have been the best thing about the original DOS version of the game. I got the Windows version at one point, but never played it because it just wasn't the same without the original music. If I were designing this game, I'd ship it with updated, modern music, but have a little checkbox in the options somewhere to let you play with the original DOS music instead. It was amazing how well it flowed, changed moods depending on what was happening in the game, etc.
I believe Sid Meier and his development stuff. I am sure about this, we will hear updated versions of these musics in game :
bird song
bonny morn (bonny at morn)
cornwall
fiddler's dance
fisher's hornpipe
hole in the wall
jine the cavalry
little fiddle
nightingale song
old joe clark
shady grove
smoky tune
