Has anyone had good success fighting really early wars and then rolling to win domination? I have been trying on immortal to do that with civs that don't have an early advantage, and find myself falling behind more often than not. The lack of money and trade routes and the warmonger penalty seem to make this a pretty difficult way to play. I will take one or two capitals and then stall - and never quite regaining enough advantage. i mostly play on continents, which maybe the problem. Anyone had good success rolling early? Care to share?

Plan to get CBs around the turn 55-60. Extract most gold as possible to upgrade archers. A single DoF around turn 40 can be very beneficial. Steal a worker from your neighbor to weaken him. Finish continent conquest before meeting other AIs to prevent warmongering hate. You better finish the job with CBs only and get education asap than obligatory going for Machinery to finish the job.
