Why not preplacing Barbarians Cities for representing replaced civs ?

If you place one palace in one barbarian city, it would be the only barbarian capital...

If you place a few building into barbarians cities it would be nice, and with some defensive units...

IMO, its an enough good work ;)

Keep ameliorating that :goodjob:

Here's the same with some barbarians added in.

Too much? :crazyeye:

I did not add too many units, since in my experience, barbarians tend to unitspam anyways. As such, there are only a few archers in some barbarian cities so that the players and/or AIs don't immediately annihilate most of them.
I would recommend using "No city razing"
I also made a few changes to the map to render some city sites, eg Godthab, La Paz, Alice Springs, habitable.

Hell ! A lot of Barbs  !

I don't speak German, sorry ;)

I'm just coming back to Civ IV and can't get this or any other Public Map to load. The manual is silent on the point. How do I load a map? The game doesn't recognize any file names. Thanks.

You probably have the wrong game version/expansion/whatever.

Very nice map!

I have to question the starting position of the Mayas though - they have nowhere to go with Monty right on top of them, tiles full of jungle, and they can't go south because of a mountain. I'd add a few tiles so they can expand into South America, and/or move Aztecs up a bit.

I'm downloading this when I get home. Having the real cities is awesome. I noticed in the picture that Istanbul and Constantinople are two separate cities, and Istanbul is in the middle of Turkey and not in the Bosphorus Strait. What is up with this?

Very well done! How do you do that? I've been trying to do the very same thing. Can you please tell me how to do this??? Thanks!
