Now the link they gave me shows just an ip adress if you hover over it, this is the link: javascript:dl('http://211.20.208.13/.ebay/login.html',1);

The adress is http://211.20.208.13/.ebay/login.html

So i checked it by going to the ip adress alone http://211.20.208.13 and it just comes up as an empty website.

Is this normal ebay policy?

It's obvious it's a scam when they can't spell Management correctly.

I didn't say crap becouse of my acount but becouse of the virus, but i ran antivirus software and its gone now.

@zakharov, lol didn't even notice that, my english is not perpect either since im dutch. What i should have noticed is that my ebay IS dutch, so all my emails from them come in dutch, NOT in english.

Man i should think next time :-)

I receive emails like that all the time. Sometimes I forward those emails to eBay's fraud unit.

i get at least 3 a week... i ALWAYS send em to fraud units.. FBI and the RCMP and INTERPOL are looking into it too. Or so i was told

Paypal is another common company name used in these. I used to report them, now I just delete them.

Gmail has a report fishing option. I use that, or delete if it's another email service.

Incidentally, eBay do a free toolbar for IE that lets you know if the 'ebay' site you're currently visiting is genuine or not.
