Yes basically that's what I did (and also change to Chino, it reduces length).

Now I understand why you wanted to know all the singular and plural of civilizations in Spanish.
This looking at what civilization has the plural chain "free" for its replacement but I don't see any, the available ones are necessary (German, French and English).

I imagine that you are going to have to get characters little by little from all possible places.

I really don't have words of thanks, I just want you to know that in the collaboration credits of the translation patch you will be included (also Tupi).
 
I'm estimating that you're going to need a minimum of 9 free characters to add the Zulu plural string.

Civilizations:
  • (singular): Babylonian (10 characters) -> Babilonio (9 characters) = +1
  • (singular): Egyptian (8) -> Egipcio (7) = +1
  • (singular): Indian (6) -> Indio (5) =+1
  • (singular): Russian (7) -> Ruso (4) =+3
  • (singular): English (7) -> Inglés (6) =+1

Leaders:
  • Elizabeth I (11 characters) -> Isabel I (8 characters) = +3
  • Abe Lincoln (11) -> A. Lincoln (10) = +1
  • With Caesar you could get a character but surely I am going to change it to "J. César" and I need that character.
  • With Ramesses the same but I'm thinking of changing it to "Ramsés II".

I think you have enough, but don't worry that as I told you before I can get extra characters with my trick, the bad thing is that it only works with my translated version.

I tried to implement all your changes but I'm using much more bytes than expected...

I hardcoded Franceses, Alemanes and Ingleses, which take up more space than their English counterparts, same for Ramses II and J. Cesar... Any more ideas ?

I don't really understand what you mean by that, but if what you're saying is that you've added more characters to equalize the Spanish letters of German, French and English, as I told you at the time, you don't have to worry about that.
I have all the civilizations correctly translated into Spanish thanks to my trick (except plural of zulu)

About the leaders Ramses II and J. Cesar, I think it's better to fix the Zulu plural first, if it's not too much trouble.

What is not clear to me is if you need those 17 free characters only for the plural of zulu

I just realized that there may be unused characters




There are too many bytes (00) together and, except for the last one, they may be free characters.
I'm going to test...

With Babylonian I have had problems and it seems that it is not possible, but with the leader Frederick he has allowed me to use some bytes.
I have tested a little and it seems to be fine, but of course, it would be necessary to test much more in case the error appears in other situations (It is not safe to use them without being sure that they will not cause problems).

In principle I have been able to get some more character in these leaders:

Genghis Khan1 (13 characters)
Elizabeth I11 (13 characters)
Mao Tse Tung1 (13 characters)
Frederick1111 (13 characters)

Nota: The numbers next to the name are the extra characters

Still 6 too many...

I think the problem comes from the fact that we require MORE irregular plurals than original game...

When no plural is specified, it's full of at least 16 00's that get compressed, but if we specify a plural we lose the char length of the plural + at least 7 chars for compression.

Still investigating this now.
 
The plural of the Zulus is going to be expensive...

I wanted to leave the issue of changing the names of the leaders for a future, but as I see that you have still changed it, I'll put the rest for you.
If you can choose to remove characters between a civilization or a leader, I prefer that you remove it from the civilizations and only in case of need from the leaders.

Yes indeed, there's two way we can do it:
1. you tell me where you want more chars, then I added the padding to make it "square" then you are free to edit
2. I explain to you how to modify thr pad by yourself :) but you must know hexadecimal, if that's ok
