EFZI2- The PBEM!

Oh yes, even though I do have both versions.

Alright, sorry I've let this slide. We can definitely use the newer version.

Takhisis and classical hero, do either of you have a preference for which of the Survivors or the Framers you play as?

Also, I've been thinking that due to the sheer number of zombies that will be killed each turn, it's probably best if we stick to generalities when talking about damage done to then. (eg, a horde approaching the Police station was massacred by SWAT teams, or, All nearby military units began to assault the Armory, with the help of offshore bombardment by Cruisers.)

Anyways, as soon as everyone confirms that they are ready to start, I'll post the first save.

The preference, for me, depends on which version we use.

*coin toss* Survivors for me, unless Mr. hero wants to leave me in control of a bunch of psychotic Farmers.

Day 1, 12pm

Commander Fullbright, seeing how dire the situation around the Military base is, orders a retreat from all the National Guards stationed near the perimeter. Radar artillery fire wipes out a couple of Roaming Alpha zombies that might pose an immediate threat, and bkwrm79 eliminates a military zombie as well.

Meanwhile, Larry and Mike, who were on patrol near the retirement home, commandeer a civilian truck, and pick up some survivors. One of them, a Handy Man, insists that they go to the Hospital to defend the place before it is overrun with zombies. Seeing the wisdom in this, They drive the truck to Hospital and set up a preliminary defense. A couple of police units just outside provide cover fire, slightly weakening the angry hordes outside.

A couple of officers near the Paradise Resort, who were enjoying their vacation only a few hours ago, manage to take a farm truck and, along with their dog Slaughter, make their escape. Their choice is either to go up and Ensure the safety of the Coast Guard and any ships that might be stationed there, or to protect the home of the civilian Mr. Tokugawa. They decide that ensuring immediate firepower is the priority, and they advise any civilians near the area to fall back and use Tokugawa's home as a refuge.

On the way there, the truck runs over a Zombie. A SWAT team takes a few pot shots at some Alpha Zombies.

Meanwhile, all around the city centre, the Authorities struggle to regain control, killing a few zombies around the Radio Station, Police Station and Town Hall, but there is a long way yet to go.

I'm just online, nearly 24 hours computerless, just give me a while.

OK, there's something crapped up, the game's treated like a normal civ game, it keeps going on about how I should improve my palace and plays the standard CivIII music instead of the scenario's. This is my very first PBEM so I'm flabbergasted.

I noticed that as well, but it doesn't seem to have any adverse effect on gameplay. Although I'll admit it does lose a bit of it's feel with the original civ music.

Oh. Well, I'll call it a night and play it when I'm a bit less groggy, as I'm trying to stabilise my schedule. Expect it within 24 hours.

*realises guests are coming*

I think.

We're using this thread to post the saves, so there's no need to use email. We can use PMs for diplomacy, if that's okay with everyone.

OK, done. Destroyed a few Zombies, hope to be able to defend against the Alphas down at Mr. Tokugawa's apartment. Will try to recover my Preacher from between the Zombies. Have attacked no one human.

What's the policy on enemy workers?

They're fair ground, or aren't they?

Anyway, I changed some of the Preferences, because it didn't animate moves and did a few other things mucked up.

Whose turn is it now?
Should probably mention that when you post the save.
