This was made for the MechaMod, but is being released separately.

Made by taking the knight, giving him the Charlemagne Heavy Cavalry Horse, the Warlord's shield, and the Warlord's sword. Then I replaced the knight with the Charlemagne Heavy Swordsman. I did none of the textures.

I don't know who did the textures, but I think Danrell did them.

Eisenritter is just a cool sounding term. An eisenritter wasn't a certain type of knight AFAIK, just a term.

Is there an historic significance to the Eisenritter though?

As much significance as calling a Pikeman a Landsknecht. ;)
I first offered "Styrian Knight" as a name to Mechaerik (named after an iron-rich area in the then Habsburg empire).

I just downloaded a bunch of his units and it does indeed look like his work. The face bears an uncanny resemblance to his Longbowman, and several other units.

Um... that's the face of the Charlemagne Heavy Swordsman. That part's unedited.

He's probably recognizing it from one of danrell's units, specifically the Portuguese longbowman, which uses this model instead of the Longbowman model and just didn't realize that it was the Charlemagne unit.

Yes, I've never looked closely at the Charlemagne Heavy Swordsman so I didn't realize that was where that face came from. The English Longbowman and Archer also use it, as do a few others I've noticed.
