E7-E8 - At the center of the world, the great inland sea carves itself a new southern coast with which to grip the world, and it is filled both by the oceans and the rivers.

G1-E4 - Southwest of the great west mountain ranges, and perhaps as a consequence of them, a great peninsula leading to a chain of islands rips itself from the maw of the earth, covered in the largest biome currently in the world, the Temperate Rainforest.

J5-K6 - In the south, yet more rains fall from the great southern mountain range, this time heading south into the nothingness between the eastern island and the mountains.

Next Update Wednesday

C4:
4 points: a large, high altatude freshwater lake.
2 points: 2-3 rivers flowing out of the mountian chain of B4-C5 into the lake. one river runs south out of the lake towards D4, where it presumably reaches the sea.
1 point: climate set as cold, high altatude, and high rainfall.

My orders:

5 points: Mountains from B4, curving through B3, B2, and into possibly C2.

Curses that was too good to pass up. I wanted to climatize or add mountains to Terrance's new creation. NEXT TURN.

TerrisH: That's a cool idea. That break in the mountains is a HUGE wind tunnel with my new addition, I think. This could be cool.

7 points initial

4 points: ocean
extend the ocean from B5 across the north side of Eltain's to-be-made mountains, creating fjords

3 points: hills
create hills at the intersect of D5, D6, E5, E6, hills to be touching mountains, extending south east, but not to interrupt the river

7 points initial

4 points: ocean in the southwestern part of E5, coast running from about halfway up the western side to the southeastern corner
1 point: temperate climate with high rainfall in the west and moderate in the east
2 points: bank (intended to go toward mountains in the tile next turn)

Moldath: I never knew what fjords were, huh. I thought it was just a Nordic-ie "ford". (I googled it)

General Olaf: Which tile are the mountains going to (eventually) be on? Moldath is placing hills on the coast you are building. You could of course replace them, but I'm just wondering in advance.

TerrisH: A volcano in the Caldera, or in the big (presumably) saltwater sea in the north?

Lots of creativity and especially working with what is already there. I am really quite impressed. Keep up the good work, guys!

6 Points

F7
2 Points for River (s), 3 Points for Hills, 1 Point for Climate-Subtropical (Dry or Wet, depending on where the seas are-make it nice and warm)

The hills form many folded vales and gorges, through which two major rivers eventually form- one heading north towards F8 and the other towards G7/8. The rough terrain is hot and there are many caves.

These hills used to be ancient mountains, but got worn down over time, revealing the ancient bedrock underneath. (Coal added in the future)

The lands watered by the river receive much silt from the hills over the years, and those winters that do bring snow often bring spring floods which clears out the course and often redirect the river.

Thinking of South-central French Highlands + Piedemont of Carolinas/Cumberland

no, on an Island in the center of the large freshwater lake I just created in C4. think of the lake as a sunken caldera of a Giant super volcano. which erupted sometime in the past 100K years. not likely to refill and erupt again for a million or two more. the lake's bottom is slowly rising, and levels out in 200K years or so, giving way to a Yellowstone like area until it erupts again.
not that it maters much to the eventual NES, given that this would be happening on a geological timescale, not a mortal one. 'tis just a bit of back ground. and that the volcano's are so prohibitively expensive, I'm not likely to end up placing one there.

@Eltain: Same tile, north-south and fairly low and sparse to create a small rain shadow.

TerrisH: Ahh, I gotcha. And yeah, they're meant to be a luxury. Haters gonna hate.

General Olaf: I think you might be pleased with what is there now actually. Which gives me a good segue..

All: Everything submitted up to this point has been finished. We just wait for our less-involved (or more busy with other things) comrades. Edit: And must I say, it looks very good.

I'm going to just place metal in the hills Moldath is making in D6 (5 points)
Bank 3 points

8 Points Original

2 Points - Grain on the islands/archipelago
6 Points - Bank

merciary: Okay, sounds good.

Lord of Elves: COOL STORY BRO.

Gem Hound: 14 points.

B11
2 Points River - a bunch of streams from Mountains I'm going to add later. Meet together to form river which flows to B10.
3 Points Hills - The foothills of a mountain range
5 points - Horses((Quite wild right now))
B10
2 points river - Flows West to East. Meets up with river from the South((adding it next turn))

2 points climate - Saskatchewan/Siberia((+30 degrees Celsius((86 degrees Fahrenheit)) average high during the Summer, -50 degrees Celsius((-58 degrees Fahrenheit)) average low during winter)), Grassland

Gem Hound: That place will be all but inhabitable, basically forever. :0 Tis done!

Edit: Though I must say, some very bloodthirsty nomad tribes (of 10 people) will be scary from here.

What do you mean uninhabitable? This area has been popuilated forever, albeit sparsely before European colonization. I'd say tribes of 500 at the largest were in this area. My idea is different though. They will use hotsprings and pump the hot water through the walls of buildings when open. :)

Update I:III

Spoiler map :

Hills in the far northeast of this world call rightfully hail themselves as the original birthplace of horses. Why these hills are able to refer to themselves in the third person or even speak at all is a mystery to all, but is quickly forgotten forever by everyone.

Apparent massive glaciation eons ago has carved immense mountains in the northwest of this world. Ancient, scarred and brutal, they have risen jagged out of the maw of creation itself, each fjord a tooth towering above the sea and defying the deities.

South along the mountain spine, as we shall call it, has had it easier. Each hill beyond the hill beyond the hill beyond the hill beyond the hill (kudos if you know the reference) has it's own unique personality.
Farther north and closer to the ancient eastern rivers the foothills are drier, while in the south they adapt a more rugged feel, dotted with caves, steep ravines and twists, as if carved over millenia.
