embarked units won't land

i've been seeing this alot lately, where a unit, usually a settler or worker, will not go ashore but just moves backand forth between 2 hexes next to where i told them to disembark. when i click on the unit and point to the land hex, it'll tell me 2 turns, even when I have plenty of MPs left. I've not running any mods. seems to have started with the december patch. anyone else having this issue?
 
I had the problem with English units- sun never sets. It seems that it causes troubles if a unit would have moving points after disembarking as whenever the moving points are used up due to disembarking it works well.If you click again and again the units disembarks finally. Very annoying, if you don't notice that your unit is still in the water and a near barb ship kills your unit.
 
i've been trying to recreate this with no luck. but it was as the brits that i was having the trouble. it would show plenty of MPs left, but it would only let me land from certain hexes.
 
Yes, I can reproduce that. If you move the worker one southwest then he will disembark on that tile, but he doesn't directly disembark, and the unit route says it'll take two turns.
 
What is very annoying is: if you send your units somewhere else by clicking onto the target tile, your unit may never get there, because it doesn't disembark properly and stays in the water turn after turn until you notice or a barbarian ship runs over it. In the attachment is a save of the above game three turns later: the worker is still in the water. Or you try to reproduce it from the first savegame I posted: just click end of turn and the worker will not disembark.
