Hello everyone, I just thought it would be a good idea to start a thread of random or serious questions of the game play in ETW. Anyone may ask and everyone can try to answer. Thanks ;)

I'll will start, I have a problem with dragoons for when I tell them to dismount they do that fine. When they are dismounted and I tell them to shoot they just stand there. They can move and mount again but for whatever reason they don't attack. Am I doing some thing wrong?

They never do that with me. Weird. :dunno:

I guess it was a random glitch than for that battle.

I chose to save a replay of a grand campaign battle and named it accordingly but I cannot find either where the file is saved on my computer or where I can replay/review the save. Can anyone enlighten me as to the point of these saves?

I had the same problem on RTW. The only solution I had was to use a hyper cam to record the battle. :p

Question: Do I need to have a tech to be able to move my cannons that are not fixed artillery on the battlefield?

How do you set rally points for units? Can't figured it out.

You mean when they're recruited? I'm not sure how you can set just any point, but if you have an army outside of a city you can "recruit" a unit there, what actually would happen is that the nearest city will recruit a unit and that unit will automatically move to join your army.

Ok so how ya do that

Pick an army and click on the recruitment tab, though I think it's only possible when a General is present.
BTW in your comment, Confucius' quote, I'm pretty sure it's "It is better to play GO than do nothing."

Is that a joke or are you being serious

Serious. Go is an ancient board game invented in China some 4000 years ago, it is very popular in Asia, mainly in China, Japan, and Korea. Also it is becoming more and more popular in the western world. Go is like east Asia's chess.
Sorry for being off-topic :)

Is there any way to get the mouse buttons to move the map? Or make the map more sensitive to mouse scrolling?

are you talking about campaign map or battle map

You can move the battle map by dragging it with your cursor. Took me awhile to figure that out, too.
