If the Will of the People can't override the constitution, we need to fix that, immediately.

The Will of the People certainly can decide if a chat should or shouldn't happen, and the DP's Will is certainly not stronger than it.

And the third choice meant have a ten turn chat, while the others were no chat until november and end the chat when war starts.

we dont need to fix that, the WOTP is a majority(more than 50%) of the people, the constitution defintiions are much harder than that(to get an amendment to the constitution),
51% of the people shouldnt be able to ovveride what 67% of the people(with atleast 2/3 voting) want

So, you're saying that the WOTP should decide if some people have 2 weeks in a term and others 8 weeks in a term? Will we hold a secondary election for each advisor and elected official on how long they should remain in office? Not only is that not true in RL, it also makes things messy.

Well, I see this thread has been threadjacked by movies and politics...

If you look, the last option is, "let the term run its' lenght". That implied the other options are for cutting the term short.

Just to make an analogy - When the president is elected on November 2nd, they don't enter office until January. Their term isn't cut short just because the next guy wants to start right away.

Actually the #2 option isn't cutting anything short, its just stopping the TC and not going the full 10.

I've been dictator in games more democratic than this BS.

The Will of the People is the Will of the People. This is a democracy game. It should override everything and everything, no matter where its written. If that means you have to change you title to something embarrasing, then sobeit. The only restriction could be how many people's need to contribute to that will, not the majority. But if 50.00000000000001% of those people think it should happen, then it should freaking happen.

The Will of the People is the Ultimate and Final Authority, and Cannot be overriden. Until that is true, this is not a democracy at all.

And I wasn't cutting your term short. I was trying to delay a turnchat. Your term would've been 31 days either way.

Moderator Action: You're lucky you edited the censored words. I was about to ban you.
