Do people prefer to learn strategy in a structured, formal way, or in a chatty, descriptive way? I'm getting a major headache reorganising an essay for the War academy at the moment, so any suggestions about style and structure would be really welcome.

Ok here's the answer.
In january 1999 I bought Age of empires:Rise of Rome. I was new at the game and i joined a clan and met a friend who was an expert. He trained me in strategies and getting my economy going. He taught me by playing the computer and me watching him. And by giving me articles on AOE Strategies to read.
And i became one of the best players out there

So i believe that people learn best with reading material and demostrations. Maybe we could show some Pictures of the war plans like what a Blitzkreig army should look like or whatever. Like if we add the blitzkreig to the war academy.

Yeah, I've got some ideas for some pictures, but I can't do them on my machine. If I send you the text blueprints, could you help me to do them?

Yeah i think i could help ya out.

Old topic, maybe you've completed this project already, but current studies in learning styles shows that people learn in a wide variety of ways, and what works well for one person totally misses it for another. In short, I think a variety of approaches might work best for teaching strategy (or anything else, for that matter). Adding graphics, structure, "chatty" discussion, etc. The more styles you can include, the better chance of everyone finding something that works for them.
