English Renaissance Units Pack

Alot of Sandris Russian medieval units and his recent musketman pack would fit too in that era I'd imagine embryodead.

Why would you think I didn't add them? I moaned in joy when he released them ;)

1.2 patch went on hold while I was swamped with RL work, which was convenient I guess since so many new medieval/renaissance units came out recently.

Damn, I had just finished to update my British civ...
Start again!

A question: France and Russia have many grenadiers (1700, 1750, 1790). England has only one (1700).

Could you add an intermediate one?

I`ve already made British grenadiers for 1700, 1750, 1790, including highlanders and mounted grenadiers. They will be posted soon. :)

Awesome! Just what I needed.. AGAIN!
New units for your personal WH mod? :D

That's how I'm going to use them :mischief:
And in MEM of course.

Sandris, I can't believe how good these are and how many you churn out!
I'm especially impressed by the cavalry units in this pack, REALLY well done! :goodjob:

Why's that?

Because Sandris (along with most human unit makers using Poser) builds his human units from Kinboat's PDM model. The dimensions of Kinboat's PDM are thicker and shorter (stockier) than a real human being because Firaxis' original units are stockier than real humans. So, if you are comparing Sandris' units to actual humans, or to actual human-based models, such as Michael 3 or those packaged with Poser, they are going to appear stocky. (Some unit makers use these models, notably NavyDawg and most recently Gary Childress, resulting in more naturally-sized units.) But, comparing Sandris' units to Fraxis' units, or the vast majority of other community-made units, they are going to look just right. (And, comparing them to Firaxis' units, they're going to look much better ;) )

I didn't see these at first these are awesome
