Enhanced User Interface v1.30m

I know it's fairly late for feature requests, but anyhow ...

whoward69 has created the UI - City Production Queue Enhancements mod which

hows what National Wonders a city could build as soon as the required technology is researched and not when the required building has been built in the city.

I intended to create a small mod-mod of EUI which includes the above functionality. However, right now I have no clue how to do this. Is there any chance for you to incorporate something akin to whoward69's code into EUI?

Yes you can make a mod mod if you like

I've updated to 1.23c and I've noticed a weird thing. I can see the names of the cities other civs/CS's have raised in the fog.
Yeah, this is serious especially in multiplayer matches and needs a fix asap.
I would need lua.log and save game to investigate this one

Cheers

I can consistently replicate the city name bug as follows:

1. Disable all DLC for clean start.
2. Start new game (I started as Alexander, Standard Size Continents, 8 AI, 16 city states, King difficulty, Epic game pace)
3. On first turn: skip actions on warrior and settler
4. End first turn.
5. As each AI player and city states have their turns, their city names appear on the map in the fog.

This happens every time I start a new game.

After the city names appear, if you save the game, and then reload that game, the city names are gone and do not seem to reappear (although I haven't played extensively after that point to see if they ever come back).

If I save and reload *before* ending my first turn, the city names still appear.

As far as I can tell it seems to be something that only happens the first time each AI's turn is processed.

I can provide a save game just before the end of the first turn if you can't replicate it. As for the lua.log, the only such file I could find was in the Logs folder in the My Documents subfolder for civ, and the only message it contained was "[1401503.372] Initializing Lua 5.1.4", so no errors I could see.

No other mods were installed or active. All DLC turned off (same behaviour with them turned on)

As you can see in my screenshot, it's not necessary to skip actions on warrior and settler. The bug appears from turn 0 to turn 1.

@Brimsor: How to enable the logging

Here's a screenshot from a mp match.

This bug is really serious. You can see the city states and the other players right in round 0 if they are near enough.

OK thanks for the scenarios, this immediately lead me to the stupid typo undoing the fix made in v1.23b
==> uploaded v1.23d, hope this one's the last
Cheers

It will never be the last. :D

BE's UI is in urgent need of... you.

I load save, click 'next turn' and after popup about recently built Great Mosque of Genne game crashes. I was looking at log but couldn't find any related errors. https://gist.github.com/Kakadu/3fc79ff317887e94d734

Save is attached. I use Ubuntu 14.04 and latest Steam version with all available addons. Civ 5 version is 1.0.3.276. Reproducable on 1.22c and d.

P.S. It will be great if I can test it on UI mod version 1.21. Can anybody upload it somewhere or send me via email: KakaduHafanana at yandex dot ru ?

P.P.S. game not crashes on version 1.21. Many thanks, regenshine.

And another bug:

Civ5Screen0043.jpg

I researched banking in this round and stole economics. But when I click on Chose research, the techs are still locked. The only way to solve it is to reload the game.

@demondance: I reported this bug in the post before

I would need your save game & lua.log to investigate

I am not sure if it is a bug or not, but when you point your cursor into major civ, the info is showed up but it missed score of like or dislike.

You can see attachment for more details.

Edit 1: It seems new version get conflict too much with Civ IV Diplomatic Features (v 10) at WorldView (which contain 2 files: TradeLogic.lua and SimpleDiploTrade.xml), if i delete WorldView folder, i can trade normally but this mod literally broken. If i keep it i couldn't trade. This bug just happen when i used RC1

Edit 2: It seems conflict bug due to new DLL version, i will check later

Edit 3: It seems my mods conflicted themself, i just tested with DLL, Diplp mod and EUI... everything are fine

BUG - SEGMENTATION FAULT setting up TRADE ROUTES - [Linux]

Hi, I'm using EUI v. 1.23d with Civ V version 1.0.3.276, all DLC (Complete edition) installed from Steam. I play on a Linux PC (Ubuntu 14.04).

I was previously running EUI 1.23 without problems - but since upgrading to 1.23d after the latest Firaxis patch, I've been unable to set up trade routes. When renewing an old trade route with an old caravan or starting a new one with a new trade route, the game crashes with a segmentation fault upon confirming 'OK' to set up the route. I isolated the problem to EUI - The single-player game (below) works fine in the vanilla UI (albeit, still with all other DLC enabled). This problem was discovered in multiplayer hotseat mode.

I have three files attached - a single-player save file for testing (trade_crash_test.Civ5sav), the associated bundle of log files that were produced upon opening the game with EUI 1.23d (single_player_trade_route_bug_logs.tar.gz), setting up the trade route, and watching the crash. For comparison's sake, I've also added the log files associated with the vanilla behavior, without the crash (example_of_things_working_properly.tar.gz).

I hope this gets resolved! I love EUI, and I'm bummed I have to uninstall it until this is fixed.

Thanks for your efforts,
-bamskamp

Edit: I just saw the post for EUI_v1.24RC1, and tested again. I'm sorry to say that the problem persists for me with the latest version!

I am using EUI v1.23d with CIV V version 1.3.7 (123988) (1.0.3.276 patch) with all DLC and addons, but no other mods installed.

Quite often when I try to use an Great artist/writer/musician that will create an overlay it will crash when the overlay appears.

Attached is the latest quick save before I use the great writer.

The game does not crash if I remove EUI.
If I install EUI after this again it often does not crash for some great artists/writer/etc.
I assume that it has something to do with caching.

Attached: Save game and the logs from the Log folder (all logging enabled)

Finally , i can confirmed RC version conflict a lot with many mods, cause CTD after you create a first city then press back to map.

I tested just with 8 mods : DLL ver 63, 4 Diplo mob (v24 for CSD), Memmod, Reform and City of mable.

Then i went back bug version (icon spills out of research window) with 8 mods above and everything is fine, no more CTD

did the "city connected" icons disappear by design or is it a bug?

Unfortunately, I don't have the save files, but I just want to say this exact problem is also happening to me on Windows 7.
