England gains independence! After a couple years of rebellion, the island has regained its nation status and has begun the process of rebuilding after years of Viking control.
Iberia launches first manned space missions!
The Iriquois launch a stunning surprise invasion of the USNA! As of yet, no ground casualties have been suffered on either side as the Iriquois land with no resistence by the enemy. However, as the invasion inland progresses, the enraged USNA and their Korean allies launched the largest air attack, supported by naval vessels and submarines, in history against the Iriquois navy, using over 1000 planes. The Iriquois carriers and fighters fought valiantly but lost in the end 5 of their 6 carriers and proceeded to retreat, leaving the ground forces cut off and stranded. As they run out of fuel and munitions, the Iriquois find a huge armored Korean and USNA force to the south, and battle is imminent.

USNA Casualties: 4 Battleships, 5 submarines, 10 Jet Fighters

In Europe, the Russians and Turks have shattered a Viking counter assualt with superior amounts of weapons and prewarning via new sattillite with Chineese space technology, which was given to all of NOD. However, this attack and the assistence of foreign volunteers in Germany combined with Viking naval raids and commando assualts on the rear halted the Russian southern assualt. The Russians managed to advance in the north against the disorganized Finns and the Viking army.

In the further south, the Italians have launched a minor invasion of Russia, not yet met by any resistence and progressing slowly through the mountains towards Greece.
In the Mediteranean, a disaster occurs as a nuclear explosion occurs in the city of Catania on Sicily wiped out large numbers of GDI troops and ships. Whether this is was an accident or not has yet to be determined. The only known detail about the explosion was that it was NOT caused by a missile.

Aztec Empire withdraws from Texas! Numerous Texans were killed and the countryside was burned by the Aztecs during their withdraw. Entire cities were looted, burned, and the population killed. Partisan groups and the few surviving Texan factories and commercial centers were wiped out by massive Aztec air attacks. Texas became a ghost of a nation, with a mere population of 150,000 people. With the Aztec withdrawl, the few remaining Texan civil leaders agreeded to join the NEC to rebuild Texas and protect it for 20 years, when Texas will be liberated once more. On a side note, the Texan military was highly disorganized and the Texan ICBM has gone missing.
