CATTLE SHUT DOWN TEXAS! In what appears to be the largest practical joke in history, herds of cattle have been released from their holding pens and have swamped the cities of Dallas and Fort Worth. Many confused citizens woke up to find their street filled with cattle. Police have not yet found a way to remove the cattle, as ranchers do not want to harm their livestock. As such business has halted as the cows clog the streets and cities.
ANTI-JAPANESE RIOTS IN CHINA! In cities such as Nanjing, Shanghai, and Peking, the people of China have attacked any Japanese citizens of those towns, and have burned the Japanese embassy and hung the ambassador. This coincides with the 2 year anniversary of the end of the Sino-Japanese War. The Japanese have protested and refuse to send another ambassador to the Chinese nation.

As the drive west continues, the Soviet army has reached the Oder River in Germany, but has found itself halted as bridges are gone and the Germans relax in fortified positions along the river. As such the front in Germany has stalemated. The air war has continued however as Swedish planes arrive and wrest control of the skies away from the Soviet air force.

In the Black Sea, a coordinated effort by Bulgarian and Soviet submarines and fighters managed to find and destroy the Romanian navy. Fortunately for the Romanian cause, the industry and people that were evacuated to Germany continue to produce reinforcements and new recruits for the Romanian Army.

As the war in Iberia calmed after the failed British assault from Gilbralter, British planes, flown by German pilots, dropped a German-built nuclear weapon on Madrid after eluding Spainish fighter patrols. The city went up in a great nuclear cloud, and the minor functionaries of the Spainish government were eliminated causing some damage. Garrison forces and industry were also damaged. Some British planes were also destroyed as a result of flying accidently in the range of the weapon. In retailiation, a Soviet submarine snuck into Liverpool harbor, detonated a weapon and leveled the city. Stalin has announced that this demonstrates how corrupt and decadent the western governments are if they could continue to sacrifice the lives of civilians to merely attempt to kill the still surviving leader of Spain.
