#erebus: the chatroom and meetup room for all things ffh!

To my own surprise the channel is still somewhat alive, so

:bump:

Here in China, always looking for a mp game of ffh,
names kraken

edit:

This should be sticked, i for one would have joined it months ago if i had known it existed.

:) First off: Thank you, Kael for giving this a try and thanks to woodelf for stickying it. :)

Hello again, fellow addicts to FfH2!

#erebus, the chatroom, is up since the beginning of this year. It sadly never really attracted that many people. But it sure holds a lot of possibilities.
Yeah, sure. Anybody could claim that! ;)

Now, here are some of the possibilities: :goodjob:
  • You are stuck with some decision in your game? You can't find the answer in the pedia or on the forums? --- Sometimes #erebus is the quickest way to get the desired information. It will be even more so if all the players who can hang around on there do so.
  • Two of the reknown coders who help fixing stuff seem to hang around on #erebus lately. And they sure like to help and I personally found them quite eager to answer questions regarding the code. So this Thank You is for you, xienwolf and Vehem!
  • Hamachi can be a big  for MP coordination. as we know. As good as it is to provide a platform, as bad it is as a meetup section, afaik. #erebus has proven quite good for that as well.
  • ... ? ... Feel free to complete this list, fellow users of #erebus. ;)
Well, and here is what Kael wrote in his last PM to me:

[...] Personally I really hope the channel works out. I want lots of people to be on it. But if people aren't using it Id rather not have it using a sticky slot. I was on the channel last night and chatted with one of the guys for a little while, it worked out well. :goodjob:

:deal: Now, here's the deal, fellow addicts and - maybe - future citizens of #erebus!

  • If you have any questions regarding the channel feel free to post your questions here!
  • If you'd like to know how to get there, see the OP. ;)
  • If you have any suggestions on how to improve things, please let us know by posting them here!
  • As you can see from the quote from Kael's last PM the thread remains stickied if the channel gets more people by having the thread stickied. So if you think that this channel would be helpful please come in, hang out, ask for help, give help, and - most importantly - enjoy yourselves! :D
Deal? :deal:

I think the sticky is helping. The channel certainly seems to have more people in during the European hours that I'm there... :goodjob:

very nice idea...
i like it, and it helps me to quickly resolve my questions. and i have a lot of questions ;)
and sometimes kael is there and you can get some information about the mod ;)

Shamelessly bumping this for dot :p

lol i missed something ...

yeah, we need more people!!!;)

During the last few days we got two new operators on #erebus.

  • Jhoniten has accepted to join our ranks to cover the evening hours of the lost FfH addicts in the US. Thank you, Jhoniten! :goodjob:
  • Vehem - more or less - is Fall Further. And since he's been around on #erebus for quite some time now and has always tried to help where he could (be it coding, gameplay related questions or simple mocking) we asked him if he'd try to help as well. And luckily he agreed.
Welcome on board, Gentlemen!

hi. i am not sure if this is the best place to ask, but i am a narnia fan and would like to try the narnia mod for ffh ... but it requires version FfH2.021. I have FfH2.30 and it doesnt want to cooperate. Any help would be welcome. [I searched here and on google and get nada zilch noodle.]
