Escape From Zombie Island 2 ready for public consumption

Sorry - had to be said! I agree with the sentiment though.

If you want all-purpose tape, it might be simplest if it just gives you a big boost to your supplies rather than having any specific effect. That might be most realistic and easiest to implement.

I plan to use the excellent additions you made to the King.

Any chance you could change the colour on the air strip for me? I lack the know how or the software.
...KingArthur...I just E-Mailed the file to you.
As for Elvis, I think all Horror Shows break up the constant "Horror Stress" with a little Humor and Elvis as an attacking unit is certainly good for a laugh in the game.

Got the file, thanks. This zombie scenario is getting more B movie by the day ;)

I finally found time to DL the scenario this weekend and had a fair few goes with The Survivors. All I'm going to say for now is:

Why the hell did I put off playing this game for so long!!? :wallbash:

It is quite simply a work of genius, in so many areas. Hilarious (I was laughing out loud nearly all the time), evocative of the movies, totally unique amongst all other mods I've played and a fine display of some seriously competent modding.

Amazing work here KingArthur. Eye opening from a scenarioist's point of view. "Going Viking 1" was the first I ever played and I learned a great deal about modding from that. This one is going to teach me loads about working with those Script and Labels files. You've done a tremendous job with the text all over this scen, with the pedia, the dialogue, the pop up texts, etc.

Thanks for all the hard work that went into this Arthur and for keeping the original maker's work alive. It's paid off in bundles.

@Rambuchan
 thank you for enjoying.

This genre allows so many opportunities for bad puns, cliches and rip offs of movies that I've had loads of fun developing it. The greatest pleasure though is knowing that people enjoy it.

I was just wondering, this scenario has grown huge, but does anyone still have the very, very first version? That would be hilarious to play.

I've still got version 2.0. :mischief:

But the old graphics are gone though.

That doesn't even look like it's in any part of the game, because there are no cities near the city hall.

It is. It was one of the screenshots KingArthur posted at the very beginning of the game. It is entitled "The Mayor decides not to give a speech on City Hall". Or something like that. Its on the first thread.

A Blast from the Past. Back then the cityscape "terrain" was created using a modified Roads.pcx graphic (Pounders made it I think). Alas, even I don't have the first version of the scenario.

I have both Ed's and the latest version of this one. I'm waiting for EFZI-3 to come out, so that I may have the "Special Features Box Set", featuring all 3 Escape from Zombie Island scenarios!

I wonder how TVA22 is getting on with #3?

Thanks KingArthur ;). I have already downloaded Ed O' War's and it is fun to play that one and then this one and compare! I'll have to download the first version.

OH MY GOSH! :D :D :D

I just played the old, old version. I noticed some very different things among others were:

1. Abe Peters was named Abraham
2. There was no Ms Tokugawa
3. Most of the Wonders are not there yet and hardly any city has culture
4. There are no king units
5. The Dog Pound, Zeb's Farm, and The Church are missing
6. Hot Wiring (I think) was name A-Team episode back then.

Man that sure was fun to play. :)

Well, I do remember the original version of this scenario quite well, and it was great, but in my opinion every alteration since has improved it. It's not easy to alter a good scenario without screwing something up, but in fact I think the gameplay and balance is better now than in the first scenario (which I found extremely difficult), quite apart from all the cool extra bits and bobs.

I agree completely with you. I just thought it would be fun to see the very, very large difference. It was especially funny to see all the things that were completely different (Like Abe Peters named Abraham, and the Zombies as workers).
