Escape From Zombie Island 2: The Remake

Bluemofia... Did the Authorities Build the Police Department Before you captured the Police Station? IF so it will Relieve War Weariness and you will gain Highway Patrol Units produced from the Key Location.

Dezzilisk... Yes SWAT are very good and Human players will use their "Bombard" Shooting very well. The main advantage for the Authorities is having them Early but Champions are available for Each Faction any time as well.

Note concerning Corruption and War Weariness:

The Civilopedia is not correct concerning Corruption. There are no improvements or Key Locations that will Relieve Corruption in ALL buildings but they will Relieve it in the Buildings where they are built:
The Electric Generators (improvement), will reduce Corruption in a Building with the Update.
Key Locations: Zombie Nurse School (Zombies only), Aegis Cruiser Facility, Attack Dog Academy, Booze Imports, Detective's Office, Emergency Room, Mayor's Office, Meeting Room, Military HQ, Munitions Store.

War Weariness is relieved in All Buildings from:
Minor Location: A Supply Drop Point.
and Key Locations: Police Department,...(Booze Imports also will Relieve War Weariness in All Buildings in the Update).

These Key Locations Relieve War Weariness in the Buildings where they are located: Brothel and Call Center.

Happiness (What makes 'em Glad):

These Locations make citizens Happy in ALL Buildings:
Booze Imports, Supply Drop Point, Call Center and Warehouse Outlet

These Key Locations and improvement Make citizens Happy in the Buildings where they are built:
Attack Dog Academy, Booze Imports, Brothel, Chainsaw Club, Fridge, Interrogation Room, Kitchen, Movie Theater, Shinto Shrine.

New Key Locations in the Update: "Co-op" will make citizens Happy where it is built and "Exploding Sheep Operation" will make citizens Happy in the building where built and also in all Buildings.

Corruption, War Weariness and Happiness can all be improved from the above mentioned Improvements and Locations. It is a Matter of strategy to gain what will help you most. In some instances this will require that you wait for a Key Location to be built before Capturing the Building where it is located so you will benefit from it. It is important that you understand who can build a Key Location and what it does so you can decide when to capture a Building. Building a Supply Drop makes citizens Happy in ALL buildings so it is important to build and does more than provide extra supplies. Some Key Locations are better than others because they affect all buildings such as Booze Imports, the Warehouse Outlet and the Police Department.

Knowing what Buildings to capture AFTER a Key Location has been built and what Key Locations you can build without having to wait for another Faction to build them will Greatly Help your Strategy and Game Play...This understanding will serve to help you make decisions as to when and where to Capture a Building in order to Benefit from a Key Location for any Faction you decide to play.

Unfortunately, no. The zombies took it before the Authorities can build it.

But now I finally reached the point where I own more buildings than the zombies! (1 more than them)

Finally downloaded this version for the first time -- looking forward to it :)

Quick typo on the company pedia: World Mass Distruction

egroen... Yes, that is corrected as well as many other errors for the upcoming Update. :) Hope you enjoy the game now but Many more improvements will be in the Update for the game...should be ready soon but I am waiting on several replacement units as well as making additions and adjustments.

Incredibly fun... I had played the older versions but had not gotten around to this one yet. Great atmosphere; great new units; and great ambiance. I love the difficulty. I can not imagine anyone being able to win as the survivors their first time playing. It is just so different from typical civ games that I will actually have to *gasp* go and read some tips and hints :goodjob:

I think most people will lose in their first game no matter what faction they choose, i certainly did:lol:

egroen... Glad you like the Game :D Yes, the game is far easier to play once understood... The Tips on page 1 of this Thread will Greatly Help. The Update will be more challenging with several New "Wonders" (Key Locations), Units and adjustments.

Dezzilisk... Yes, if a player does not bother to read about the game in the Civilopedia or the Tips before playing for the first time, I am sure they would have a tough time Winning. There is a difference between "Challenging" and Difficult... Generally, as more is understood, the Difficulty is reduced accordingly.

I am sure Players each develop a "Favorite" Faction they prefer to play but all Factions are playable and offer different game play strategies.

Oh yes, it is very enjoyable :)

I read the civilopedia, but not the tips... could not figure out what best to do with my workers for the life of me.

Fun units, great music... the zombies coming from everywhere and anywhere really do creep you out. Great job!

egroen... the Tips will help you have an easier game and provide more insight to help your personal strategies.

The Handy Men should be upgraded to the Engineers for faster work abilities. Handy Men and Engineers should be used to Repair the Bombed Out Roads and Clear Pollution (Dead Bodies) Take care to keep a Strong Fighting unit with them to prevent the Zombies from Killing them as they do their work.
There are many roads that need to be Repaired in order to gain resources.
Build Sewer Accesses as soon as possible. They will connect your Buildings like Roads. You still need to Repair Roads and clear Pollution in order to gain access to resources such as the Manholes close to your Buildings. Manholes allow you to build the Sewer Accesses. Also, A Square without pollution will produce better.

Followed all of the help offered in the early posts. I even have the Farmers in on the war against the zombies, and it appeared to be working early on, but lately I'm seeing bigger and bigger stacks of zombies headed towards company buildings. The Power Plant's defenses have been chewed up (I didn't realize this pun until after I posted it) by the zombie forces almost to the point of being defenseless.

Tank_Guy#3... If you use the Tips well, you should have an easier time. The Game becomes easier as you understand how it plays and the things you can prepare for so if you do not do as well as you would like the first game, it is not surprising. Play again and use what you learn to do better. I assume you are playing on Level 12A but not sure what Faction you are playing. Regardless, once you know more about what to expect and what you can do, you will have an easier time. :)

I played the Farmers, the Authorities, the Survivors, even the Company!

I love the gameplay, its really cool how the zombies infestation grow each turn more.

They even broke one of my sieges in the Church as the survivors!

What i don't like that much is how the AI of the Authorities behave, they are pretty tard, that would be the only thing i can think of right now.

BTW: I didn't realised some hero character names were taken from this forum, LOL, Vuldacon can you sign and autograph for me! lol

Birdmanz... Glad you like the game :) The AI plays differently than a human player and that is the way it is. For example, the AI does not tend to Shoot with the units that can also bombard (Shoot). Instead, they directly attack with them. Also the AI tends to build "Wonders" (Key Locations) later when they are in a better position. A Human will build many of them right away because several only require one turn.
You will probably notice that each game you play will have differences as it is suppose to play. The Farmers especially tend to "go to War" with the Human player at some point and the Authorities and Company are also easy to provoke when they are in a stronger positions.
...yes, there are many names from this Forum in the game as Leaders and units.

The Update will be released very soon now. It is complete and we are testing to make sure all is as it is intended. New Wonders, Units, many adjustments including Techs, Civilopedia and game play. Stay Tuned.

One thing i would recommend is give the Authorities something better to hold up the City Hall at least (maybe another bodyguard), the Radio Station falls easily too, but well its a radio station, they usually hold the docks and the military base the most, sometimes they hold the Police Station very well, the Coastal guard can be taken too..
Is there a way to make the Authorities build barricades?? i most of the times explore the Police station to see it surrounded by zombies, and with almost no units on it..

What happened to Badasses and Mike of the Garage Upgrades? (I played em in an older version long ago)

Note: The Company usually hold up pretty well against the Zombies, might be for the Strategic Position, while the Survivors are virtually wiped out as AI, unless you play the Authorities right, if you play other faction they will usually get kicked bad specially the Garage.

Birdmanz... City Hall and all buildings have been addressed for the Update. They are set as intended, taking both the AI and the Human Player into consideration for Game Play. A Human Player can Hold buildings where as the AI will not. That is due to several Game factors that dictate the AI play. Same for "Making the AI build Barricades"...no way to make them build them. Badasses and Mike do not Upgrade. Mike is a Single Special Unit that is suppose to remain himself and the Basasses are also suppose to remain the same unit. There are other Units that Upgrade such as the Civilians to Pyromaniac Units. There have been many changes since the Old Version.
Again, a Human Player can play ANY Faction better than the AI. The AI Factions will lose buildings and be wiped out faster than the Human Player. This is suppose to be as it is because the Zombies gain more strength against the Human Player by the Other Factions Falling to them. Because the AI is actually one for all practical purposes, even the Other Factions will go to war against the Human Player, especially if the Human Player is gaining a very strong position...all programed in the game engine the same as any CIV Game.

Some buildings such as the Radio Station and Hospital I "set Up" to fall easier when played by the AI for game play reasons. a Human will run more units such as SWAT to the Radio Station and use the close units I preplaced to save the Hospital and not lose those buildings but the AI is not so smart. These "situations" and many other game play factors are intended as they are for a more challenging and Fun Game.

Due to many Hard Coded Game Factors, it is extremely difficult to have the Game Play exactly as one might want. That said, I believe the game plays very well, especially because each Faction had to be separately adjusted for their qualities, units and way of winning and at the same time be able to interact with Game play in a balanced manner between all other Factions...NOT an easy thing to accomplish.

I havent played this scenario in a while, looking forward to the update:)

Oh boy Here we go again, die zombie!:ar15:

Great Work man:goodjob:

EDIT: Nice choice for the dl site, its going incredibly fast :)

Downloaded this last night and had a quick blast to check out the different factions before starting a proper game. Got to say that the sceanario certainly made me laugh out loud, whether it was a unit, description or a sound effect. Great work!

Q. I only downloaded the file linked to in the original post, are there any updates I need? I was a bit confused on that score after going through this thread.

meeeeeeeat

Dr Tiny... Glad you are have a Fun Time with the Game. Yes, there are two small downloads that you can get from Page one, Post #10. The Strategies and Tips on Post #3 will help you play as well.

After playing awhile, I realized this scenario is a complete work of awesomeness. Seriously one of the best, good work Vuldacon!

Oh btw, the sounds are tremendous, Its just so nice to hear random screams of terror and dismay while killing zombies as the authorities:lol: And occasionally "meeeeeaaaaatttttt" lol
