Europa Universalis III help please!!!

Ok, I'm having a lot of trouble getting provinces in peace treaties now. When i captured a province it used to be worth a decent amount toward the war score, but now its only worth like 1.2% or so, and i had to conquer half of England just to get the Ballaras(or whatever that Island is called due east of Aragon). What am I doing wrong or what has changed?

Check to see if the nation has regions elsewhere on the map, as the game counts EVERY region that nation controls, including colonies that you may or may not see.

Oh, so its a percent of their country? I always thought it was determined by the value of the province.

Regions are worth a percentage when calculating warscore during a war. Defeating the enemy in land and naval battles increases it too, and lowers it when you lose battles and regions. When working out peace deals using warscore however, regions are prices according to their value.

Does stability or anything else have anything to do with it? I just don't understand how a province can be worth 1.2% toward the warscore, but take 28% warscore to demand.

It's done intentionally so that you can't annex too much of a country in a peace deal.
