Here we go:
Pre Turn Overall we are doing ok I do think we need a few more Of those Roman cities around our Forbidden Palace to maximize our production however. At this point, I see space race as our best option. I will try to concentrate on science and production. We desperately need more luxuries.
I check the diplomacy. We are giving gems to France for 1g per turn? I cancel that. Instead I give them some gold, but we get ivory from the deal. This gives us two more happy people in all our cities, and I am able to cancel all entertainers!!! That luxury helped
so much!
Turn 1 Oh no!!! The Egyptians land 4 knights right next to our town with all the gems! I think they mean war!! We have a ROP with them, but I think they are sneak attacking us! I immediately upgrade all our troops there to riflemen, and I rush another one at great expense
We really need all those gems. Several WTLC days begin due to our new Ivory. In geopolitical news, France and Aztecs ally against Greece.
Turn 2 I was right, those B****** Egyptians declare war on us! One Knight attacks, and our riflemen defends easily. I rush another riflemen. The AI has discovered steam power, and Russia declares war on the Iroquois.
Turn 3 By the way, whoever founded that city on all those gems, that was a great move

Even though it looks like we might lose it
Industrialization coming next turn, and I lower the science rate to bring 560 gold in with it. I then use the cash to buy medicine.
Turn 4 We have industrialization! Several cities changed to Factories immediately. In some good news, the Roman city of Augustadorium flips to us on our southern border! This is good, as it is close to our FP and will be a good producer.
Turn 5 Electricity is going to take 9 turns Our science output isnt too great is it? Konigsberg switched from Palace placeholder to Universal Suffrage, but we might want to build ToE there instead? Two techs before we can get there though
Id really rather have ToE, since I dont think well fight too many more wars, if we can help it, but Ill leave that to the next ruler.
Turn 6 Several Egyptian
Cavalry unload near our gem fields!! Oh no! We might really lose it! We have three riflemen there, they have 4 cavalry
. I rush another, again at great expense
Turn 7 Three cavalry attack, two riflemen killed, leaving one
The problem is they dont lose any cavs
I think we might lose the city. Well, if we lose it, well just have to retake it!
Turn 8 The other civs have communism
Lots more worker movement, not much else.
Turn 9 - Egyptians attack again, and we lose another rifleman, leaving one. They are reduced to one cavalry with 2hp in the process though I think we might be ok.
Turn 10 Huh, did I just say wed be okay??? The Egyptians land 4 more cavalry!!! We are not ok!!! Oh C***. We have some cavalry in a ship headed that way, but its a long trip
Summary: Well things arent so good. We are probably going to lose all those gems. Ugh. The good news is we are the only ones with industrialization, so we should start a real production advantage here soon. Good luck next ruler!
