I'll play tonight or tomorrow

I haven't had time to play as I'm working both days this weekend. Sorry!

Please skip me if you guys are tired of waiting. If Charlie has not gone by tonight I may grab it again.

Post if you take it..

1675 AD:
I continue the buildup. 8 turns to Newtons. We'll see how ready for war we are by then.

1680 AD:
Zulus want ROP and Alliance against Aztecs. I don't think so..
Completed Nationalism, started Industrialization.

1685 AD:
Babylon declared war on the Japanese.

1690 AD:
Russia wants Nationalism for wmaps. No thanks.

England wants alliance vs Iroqwuois. No I don't think so.

Russia and Rome have signed an MPP.

India wants Gems and Steam Power for their Furs. I dont think so..

Japan pays 19gpt for Gems and Incense.

1695 AD:
Babylon and Aztecs hav signed a peace treaty.

1700 AD:
Persia and Egypt have signed an MPP. So have Babylon and Greece. This is the makings of a WW.

Oh No! Newtons University finished in Dallas! Missed it by 3 turns! Switch to University at a cost of 154 shields. Others cascading to Shakespeares..

Just a thought, but if we had concentrated rails around Hannover and other high production cities first we could have got Newtons. As it was, all the rails were being built around low production ex-Zulu cities. Just something to keep in mind for next time.

1705 AD:
India and Greece sign an alliance against Aztecs. India declares war against the Aztecs. The Aztecs must be quaking in their boots..

We complete Shakespeares Theatre!

1710 AD:
You say you want a revolution? Yeah, it's gonna be alright..
5 turns of anarchy coming up.. We need Democracy to keep the lead. War would be ugly right now with all the MPPs and alliances.

We lose our supply of Ivory. Joan wants too high a price now.

1715 AD:
Riots everywhere as expected during Anarchy. Hired entertainers everywhere. They should be fired as soon as we get into Democracy.

1720 AD:
Anarchy.

1725 AD:
Greeks want an embargo against the Aztecs. I'm not making any deals.. sorry. I give him 15 gold instead.

I re-sign the peace treaty with Rome.
Greece declares war on Japan.

1730 AD:
France and Iroquois sign a peace treaty.
France and Aztecs sign a military alliance against Zululand!

1735 AD:
Revolution ends! We are now a Democracy!

Well, these turns took a long time. We are well set up for war but we ned to be a democracy for a while. Keep ahead in tech, and complete a thin rail linking all our cities. Start railing every tile around the cities close to the palaces.

Another thing. We have alot of irrigation. Rails are going to increase the food we generate significantly. Keep an eye on the cities, and look for over irrigated ones. Switch to mines to increase productivity.

Yikes.. the zip is too big! Can I email it to one of you guys?

It's charliehoke's turn so when he see's this message just send it to his E-mail address, Which hopefully he can supply.

I'm gonna go back to sleep now. **Snooorrrrrr**

I'll try to get to it soon, but I've got a big test tomorrow at my flight school, so it might be awhile. Taxes too!

Taxes are overrated ;)

Flight school.. cool.. What are you flying?

I'm very sorry guys, but that "sickness" I told you about was much much worse than I thought it would be - I have been at the doctor's and even the hospital for days. I have played however, and I' will upload the file to the server. Once again, I apologize, and I promise to be on top of things from now on!

edit: I think I uploaded the file - it should be named Equality1.zip

Let me know if that doesn't work. I'm going to write the summary tomorrow morning - there are a couple of important things that happened.

Here we go:

Pre – Turn – Overall we are doing ok – I do think we need a few more Of those Roman cities around our Forbidden Palace to maximize our production however. At this point, I see space race as our best option. I will try to concentrate on science and production. We desperately need more luxuries.

I check the diplomacy. We are giving gems to France for 1g per turn? I cancel that. Instead I give them some gold, but we get ivory from the deal. This gives us two more happy people in all our cities, and I am able to cancel all entertainers!!! That luxury helped so much!

Turn 1 – Oh no!!! The Egyptians land 4 knights right next to our town with all the gems! I think they mean war!! We have a ROP with them, but I think they are sneak attacking us! I immediately upgrade all our troops there to riflemen, and I rush another one at great expense… We really need all those gems. Several WTLC days begin due to our new Ivory. In geopolitical news, France and Aztecs ally against Greece.

Turn 2 – I was right, those B****** Egyptians declare war on us! One Knight attacks, and our riflemen defends easily. I rush another riflemen. The AI has discovered steam power, and Russia declares war on the Iroquois.

Turn 3 – By the way, whoever founded that city on all those gems, that was a great move :goodjob: Even though it looks like we might lose it… Industrialization coming next turn, and I lower the science rate to bring 560 gold in with it. I then use the cash to buy medicine.

Turn 4 – We have industrialization! Several cities changed to Factories immediately. In some good news, the Roman city of Augustadorium flips to us on our southern border! This is good, as it is close to our FP and will be a good producer.

Turn 5 – Electricity is going to take 9 turns – Our science output isn’t too great is it? Konigsberg switched from Palace placeholder to Universal Suffrage, but we might want to build ToE there instead? Two techs before we can get there though… I’d really rather have ToE, since I don’t think we’ll fight too many more wars, if we can help it, but I’ll leave that to the next ruler.

Turn 6 – Several Egyptian Cavalry unload near our gem fields!! Oh no! We might really lose it! We have three riflemen there, they have 4 cavalry…. I rush another, again at great expense…

Turn 7 – Three cavalry attack, two riflemen killed, leaving one… The problem is they don’t lose any cavs… I think we might lose the city. Well, if we lose it, we’ll just have to retake it!

Turn 8 – The other civs have communism… Lots more worker movement, not much else.

Turn 9 - Egyptians attack again, and we lose another rifleman, leaving one. They are reduced to one cavalry with 2hp in the process though – I think we might be ok.

Turn 10 – Huh, did I just say we’d be okay??? The Egyptians land 4 more cavalry!!! We are not ok!!! Oh C***. We have some cavalry in a ship headed that way, but it’s a long trip…

Summary: Well things aren’t so good. We are probably going to lose all those gems. Ugh. The good news is we are the only ones with industrialization, so we should start a real production advantage here soon. Good luck next ruler!

Oh and charliehoke, I built the gem colony while we still had a RoP with the Romans. Hopefully I'll be able to save it from those EVIL Egyptians!

Ok, first things first, the summary.

We unfortunately lose the gem city and then our ship that had the back up cavalry in it got sunk. I then made peace with the Egyptian so as not to go into too much war-weariness.

I sold industrialization for a ton of money 2 luxuries and communism and I finished researching Electricity.

I made sure the military rail was 100 percent complete and that our cities were at top production.

Now the bad news.

While I was playing the game my computer seemed too slow right down and I had to wait about 15-20 mins between turns. Not only that but it also crashed on me 2 times while trying to figure out all the other civs moves.

I go to uni and also work part time so I don’t have too much time for playing but I think that just waiting 20 mins for the next turn is a bit much. I know my computer isn’t that fast so I should have thought ahead but I didn’t realizes how slow a Hugh map would be.

So in conclusion I’m gonna have to drop out of this one. I will know from now on not to play really anything above standard.

Exsanguination, the man who created the game, Thanks for the fun.
Charliehoke, He’s currently playing with me in one of the LK SG games. See you there.
Brian J the second in command, so to speak you kick those Roman butts for me ok.

I will be looking in constantly but unfortunately I just don’t have as much time as some of you guys have, I mean the longest I probably could play would be about 2-3 hours and doing just 4 turns today took 2 and 1/2 hours. So again, I’m sorry guys but I wish you all the best and as much good luck.
:goodjob:

Second in command? Cool..

Sorry to hear you can't play this one Gojky.. It's been good playing with you.

If you want, join my next game (B3) or EX3. As far as I know they will be on Standard size..

That makes it up to our fearless leader to defend our diamonds against the evil Egyptians! :)

The game is called German_Equality 1770 ad.

Or something like that, just look through the list and you'll find it easy.
