Inherited turn:
I notice that our capital is in Frankfurt, and our forbidden palace is in Hannover. I need this information to micromanage most efficiently (after all, it's not worth micromanaging corrupt 1 gold/1 shield cities).
Only Babylon is at war with us.
Switch Hannover to colosseum. 7 citizens happy, 7 unhappy and due to grow in 4 turns.
Two entertainers in Byzantium put back to work. There's a cathedral on the way there.
Switch some cavalry production to infantry. Cavalry has probably outlived it's usefullness by now.
Syracuse has 6 happy and 6 unhappy. Cathedral queued to build after factory completes next turn.
Bonn needs a cathedral. University will complete next turn, so cathedral is queued to build next.
Cavalry in Salzberg changed to police station. This one has a happiness problem too, and the police station will help combat war weariness.
Queue cathedral in New Hamburg to build after the factory completes in two turns.
Queue police station to build in New Munich after the factory completes in two turns.
Queue police station in New Heidelburg to build after the factory completes in three turns. Lots of corruption there.
Switch cavalry in Zimbabwe to cathedral.
Massive overirrigation in many former AI cities. Some growth needs to be curbed here to avoid disorder.
Battlefield Medicine completes at Cologne.
(1) 1834AD:
I decide against building more troops until they're needed. We have large stacks of cavalry, infantry and artillery in the cities bordering Rome and I don't see the point of paying maintenance when the threat right now is minimal. Only Babylon is at war with us, and they're halfway across the world.
I drop science all the way down to 20%, still get Mass Production in 1 turn, and net 1150 gold for upgrades and rush-builds.
I do my usual trick of stacking infantry, cavalry and artillery outside a city, this time it's Palmyra that play host to the piles. We have HUGE numbers of cavalry.
Some buildings are rushed.
Babylon and Persia sign a peace treaty.
We learn Mass Production. Motorized Transportation is ordered.
(2) 1836AD:
Science up to 80% gets us tanks (not panzers) in 5 turns.
(3) 1838AD:
Start fixing the chronic overirrigation problems at some cities.
Russia decides to declare war on us. I really don't know what Schitzo Cathy thinks she's trying to achieve here. Too funny, I'll let them send their cavalry (not cossacks) to their death as they land on our shores.
(4) 1840AD:
Russia loses 5 cavalry, we lose none and promote a veteran to elite.
Iroquois and America sign a military alliance against Babylon and Iroquois declares war. Since Egypt is also at war with them, I can see why nothing has been sent in our direction.
France and Rome sign a military alliance against Greece. France declares war.
(5) 1842AD
A Russian ironclad is sunk, but their galleon survives an ironclad attack.
Zululand and Russia sign a trade embargo against us.
England and Russia sign a trade embargo against us.
Several cities switched to wealth as they complete infrastructure projects.
We lost our furs and our gold per turn goes down to -225. We had a HUGE gold per turn deal with someone.
(6) 1844AD
Give Ghandi Scientific Method in exchange for furs.
Drop science to 10%, and still get Motorized Transporation in one turn. And 1000 gold too.
Notes:
Motorized transporation due in 1 turn. Remember to up the science rate again.
I'm trying to assemble an invasion fleet at New Hannover. Several destroyers and ironclads are in the area, and there are two transports on their way. Time to head North and invade the Babylonian outposts.
Stacks of cavalry, infantry and artillery can be found outside Palmara near the Roman border.
Have fun!
