Nobody is giving up their opinions. They have just decided that the Iraq issue is too divisive and are making an effort to bring some civility back to the forum. I applaud the effort, though I will not take this pledge.

ozscott75, i live kinda near an albany also, but I'm in the U.S.

Well I hadn't really thought about that 'new look on history' much past what I posted. But now that i think about it .....

The EU is getting to be a rival of the U.S., if we let hitler or stalin win, they set back Europe a decade or two depending on how severe the destruction, and the U.S. doesn't have to worry about a rival superpower for a a lot longer. (Russia didn't come close to the U.S.'s economic power during the cold war, I'm talking about a real superpower like what China may become by the middle of this century)

Elden, there is no need to change either your posts or your opinion. Just remember that your opinion is just that, your opinion. Many others here have forgotten that simple truism.

There is certainly no need to leave. We got of on the wrong foot. Let's wipe the slate clean and start over.
