I've been a fan of Civ for awhile now. I began in about 2008-2009 with Civ4 BTS, and now have Civ5 and will have G&K when it comes out. But I've never had to wait for an EP. How long do you usually wait for new information? It's killing me. And how long do you all think it will be before they are finished? (the last time I waited for something like this was the original civ5 :P)

Well they have stated that it will be released late spring, so to be fair you should probably expect it somewhere around June, maybe July at the latest.

As for the info my experience with such things is that we will first see some interviews with some designer of the game, some more screenshots for sure, the remaining unrevealed civilizations and at some point we will probably also see some previews of the game popping up on different fansites (which I'm sure will be linked to from here). As for the rate at which this info will be released, well, if they do their job well it should be spaced out nicely to keep the hype building all the way up to the release date, though don't expect too much new info right away as the info that the expansion pack is actually announced needs time to spread to as big an audience as possible. My guess would be around next week we would start seeing some new info, perhaps the questions we asked here will be answered (at least 10 of them anyway).

The first day of summer is June 20, 2012, so you can assume they are planning to release it sometime before that day.

I am also brimming with anticipation. It's killing me to find out about the other civs, the UUs, UBs, and UTIs. And more Beliefs. It's hard not to pop in to CFC forums every few hours just to see if new info has been found.

I love the speculation, and same time I wish for more info to give us more to speculate and think strategies on. :)

I'm anxious to know all the civs, unique units, abilities etc.!

I feel exactly the same.

(Looking forward to see how religious city-states will be implemented )
