Experiment 626's Solo TDG

I'll try, but I think that I used up all Mel Brooks' movies, though I did just recently purchase the DVD of the classic 'SPACEBALLS!', so we'll see.
Excellent! One of my old favorites. Y'know, I think I saw that movie before I ever watched a Star Wars movie all the way through.
I assume that orange is Japan's secondary color? I've tried a few practice runs with Japan, and the team color is always dark green.
Nope. Orange is the color France and Arabia are gonna be after you nuke their cities in the game you've already won. :D You still plan on doing that, right?
Welcome to the Funny Farm, Norton II!
So when do I get my electro-shock treatment? :crazyeye:
Anyway, good luck, and may the Schwartz be with you!

It's as big as mine!

Now let's see how well you handle it! :D

Either way can work. The way to the fastest wins on a level like this is pretty much: find horses and build chariots. Find opponents. Research horse riding. Stop research. Upgrade the chariots. Kill opponents.

It's short and bloody.

The other way to do it is to wait and build up an army, and kill them with samurai.

Sorry for the lapse in posting. I've been having troubles getting online for the past week or so. At first, I thought that my dial-up modem had given up the ghost, but it turns out that there was a temporary problem with the phone line.

I will try to get the game started soon. RL is hectic right now.

Sorry for the lack of posting, folks.

RL just won't let up, and I've been messing around with Master of Orion II (not playing a full game, mind you, but just messing around. I LOVE designing ships!)

As for the next game, I don't know when I'll get a chance for it.

Please be patient, and thanks! :goodjob:

Harrumph! Harrumph! Now sit at that computer and get going, little mister!

What? Sleep? You say you need to sleep? Ha, back when you were my age we didn't have sleep. We just napped for 3 minutes on our way down to the mines, and we were lucky we had that.

Well, let's see . . .

  1. If I don't work, I don't get paid.
  2. If I don't get paid, I can't pay any of my bills.
  3. If I don't pay my bills, I lose my apartment.
  4. If I lose my apartment, there wouldn't be any way for me to play Civ 3 Complete.

Conclusion: I have to work.

Before you start throwing around phrases like 'when you were my age', you should know that I'm in my 5th decade of life. Howzabout you? :mischief:

Seriously, though . . . I'm actually right in the middle of changing doctors. Hopefully, the new one will actually LISTEN TO ME and ANSWER MY QUESTIONS! Tomorrow, (my only day off this week), I have to drive clear across town to my old doctor's office, and fill out a form to get my medical records transferred to my new doctor. The old doctor might even CHARGE me . . .

Not to be mean, but it was rather surprising the first time you revealed your age to us. :) Then again, that could be considered a compliment?

Good luck with your new doctor.

@Marsden: Mines? Like coal mines, or gold mines? Cause that would make you ancient.... Unless you're joking (or I've been misled), of course.

You certainly don't write like an old fart! Your writing was clean and crisp and clear. Which of course means you have been practising for a long time.

My age is in my profile, but I am not far behind you.

Wait...5th decade...0 to 9 would be first decade...I may be ahead of you.

Hmm.

Maybe it is time for an 'Old Codger's Variant'. Change the techs from 'Alphabet' to 'Stay Up Past 10 pm' and the resources from 'Horses' to 'Geritol'. Add some new civs; 'Bikers' and 'Young Whippersnappers'. The UU could be a specially made, Tool Time Edition wheel-chair. Be fun to read; don't know how it would actually play.

And for the new lux? Viagara.

I wrote that I was in the 5th decade of my life. Think about it . . .

I was alive in the 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, 1990s, and now the 2000s.

CommandoBob, you are older than I am by about 6 years (more or less).

On to today's :gripe: ;

As I wrote, today is my only day off this week. I drive 8 miles through the heart of town, complete with roads that are in bad need of repaving (and widening in some places) to get to the old Doctor's office, and HE'S CLOSED ON THURSDAYS! :aargh:

Let's just say that I'm not in the best of moods right now.

Sorry about the stuff. I was joking, completely. @ Tribute, I am sarcastic, very in fact, although the way some of the people around my office are, you might think they are in "the salt mine"
Ha, now I've got working in a coal mine by Devo stuck in my head.

I had a good idea of your age by some of your comments during the TDG, although I originally thought you were about 3 years older than I and knowing that I typed the message, which is telling and older person when they were younger (not by much, but still) so you see, like most of my posts, it's completely silly. So silly in fact, that and English colonel is now chasing me away from the computer shouting, "Silly! This is too silly, I'm shutting you down."

It is very hard to be sarcastic in print since body language and tone cannot be shown. All that is left is the written word. And what was meant to be funny at 4 pm can sound very harsh and unfeeling at 8pm.

Been there. Done that. Got the scars. Won't do it again.

Aw, Shucks, Bob.

unrelated comment-
Marsden said "back when you were my age" acknowledging the fact that you are actually older than him. (whether he meant to or not). If he was calling you young, he would have said back when i was your age. just felt like pointing that out.

Betcha I have you all beat! I'm almost to the middle of my 7th decade, so I can call all of you "kids" or "young whippersnappers".

Now, back in my day when we walked to school barefoot in the snow...uphill both ways... :old:
