Once again, I think the exploration is going to be pretty much as before.

The Northern Legion is no longer near Viking Uppsala, but Indian Madras. This really confirms that the Vikings are on an island N - NE of Dellham. However, I'm not sure we can rule out the Indians being on our island at the other end of this land bridge.

The Chariot is well on its way to explore east of Dellham.

The question is: What do we do with the Southern Legion now that it's finished its current mission? Answers on a postcard.......

Wheres the screenshot?

Since its unlikely we have another Civ on our continent then it would probably be best if it was used as a garrison for the time being.

Here it is

I'd move it back to the SSC for garrison:)

Or it could be used to uncover the square next to Dellham and then it could go to the SSC or by then it could be used to escort any settlers we build to the correct location.

There is a move afoot in Modification of Science Goals to stall production in RC, so as to build BOTH Colossus and HG in Elysium. If that becomes our plan, and it is a terrific idea (AI enemies permitting), then the Legion must arrive at Elysium in 28 turns to maintain max wonder production.

Edit: Legion moves to the River, 2 sq SE of DellHam. Then it is merely a 3 turn march to the River Mouth.

I think that our northern legion has reached the end of that peninsula. Then again, the random map generator has suprised me numerous times.

I believe that there's an AI north of our chariot. However, the defense of the cities is the highest priorty, so we should send it to be garrisoned where it is most useful.

I think it should garrison Reneaux

I didn't really see that we'd get anymore info from putting a screenshot here as I thought my post was pretty self-explanatory. I thought everyone could refer to the one posted by Civ1. Anyway, thanks funxus for posting it for those that need it.

A garrison seems to be the most popular option, and so the Foreign Office is happy to release the legion from it's control to that of the Home Office. Take it away Gary!:D

As previous posts have illustrated, the Vikings are to the East of the Legion. The Indians are to the South. There could well be something to the North, but as of yet we have no evidence.

If you mean the orders I posted earlier, ok, but this time I checked my compass!

Legion moves to the River, 2 sq SW of DellHam. Then it is merely a 3 turn march to the River Mouth, and is also near the River Bend where Dellham's people are planning to build Reneaux. In effect, the Legion is nervous as a cat in a room full of rocking chairs, ready to garrison 3 cities. "Which way did they go?" We will tell them, "Relax. Make camp."

Oddly, sadly, the Chariot we are sending North is a None, so no city can report to us who it is near! I never thought of that - a limitation of a None unit. Always thought they were the best! (Still do).

Can we update the map to show likely hut locations? I think that there should be a hut 4 squares north-east of the chariot, although its probably not on our continent. I don't know about over near the legion.

This issue is that a tech from the hut could be a blessing (pottery) or a curse (virtually any other tech) in terms of our wonder building options (see the other thread). :)

In terms of this legion, does its placing have any bearing on barbarian uprisings? I like the idea of covering the three cities though :)

iirc, ELysium has 28 turns until it riots. We might have the Hanging Gardens by then! But, the Legion may need to move into Reneaux (River Bend) shortly after it is founded.

Hmm, the MRT (Mobile Riot Team :)) idea seems sensible. As for exploration moves, in agreement with all thats been said.

Its nice to have a screenshot in the thread as its quicker to find information on where each unit is without having to visit the turn thread at the same time.

Northern Chariot keep exploring (duh!)
Northern Legion: CONFIRM we've reached the end of the landmass by continuing to explore, then return, uncovering any ocean squares along the way.
southern Legion: there is ocean and land NW of Delham that could be explored. Wouldn't quite be the ready to cover three cities, but would be in the general area, and could move onto the river (or wherever needed) once that little corner is fully explored.

Units are (at the time) necessary to keep the people happy. Legion which uncovered the land's end is on it's way in the direction of Dellham and may be used to uncover some last squares.
