  1. Yes! This is awesome change! I always was like "noooo" after my Scout upgraded to Archer. Hey, I produce Scout to be scout and for scouting, I don't wanna military ranged unit :P This is not exact solution that I wanted, but it will be easy to lvl him up to lvl 5, so I'll have my Scout back :)

I can confirm that adding the bolded code fixes the corporation bug.
 
RE the problem people are having with the combo of ExCE, ynaemp v24 and More Luxuries, didn't someone mention (in another thread I think?) that they got around it by using the More Luxuries standalone mod instead of the component one installed with CPP? I'll check if I can find the post in question, but until then, it might be worth trying.

After quite a lot (10 or so) attempts to figure out what causing my game to crash, I finally found that what's causing the problems is RtP and CiD... But that's not why I'm here. I'm here because when I loaded a game with ExCE, the icon in the diplomacy top panel was the diplomacy icon (the one with the globe). The rest of the tooltip had a sky blue color, with no icons on it... I was using EUI, and some of the most recent civs you (and others) made (Serbia, Nigeria, Clemenceau, etc.). I was also using CulDiv and E&D, and more luxuries, as well as more pantheons. That's it.
 
Broken YNAEMP setup screen - "UNKNOWN NUMBER OF PLAYERS" issue. It works with More Luxuries OR ExCE, but not both.
Did you try non-EUI CPP? I don't know, after I switched from EUI to non-EUI I haven't any CTDs and I haven't problem with YnAEMP screen. Strange.
 
I'm not 100% sure this issue is caused by ExCE but it's very likely to be. Game crashes during Medieval era on AI turn.Assyria is Player 8 and the game constantly crash on their turn (92-93). Eliminating them from the game (with Ingame editor) fix the problem and I was able to finish the game without any other issues apart from inability of Great Scout to annex a tribe (would love to see archaeologists to have same annex action in the late game). I've been playing a game with almost the same mod set (same CP edition) and Assyria involved recently , everything went smooth from the begining to the very end. Crash logs attached.

I haven't yet, but it's worth a shot. Seems a shame, though. I really like EUI.

I don't think its EUI. I've traced the issue down, and I think it happens whenever something interferes with one of the Minor Civ support tables - which would explain why I can never XP this problem. I've added a measure of safety in the event of this for the next update - hopefully it'll work.

Interesting. Is More Luxuries hitting those tables itself, or it its presence causing ExCE to do so? It's odd to me that either one can work with YNAEMP, but not if both are enabled.
 
This might be dumb question, but I can't figure out how you can get Scout to level5 and to become great scout. Exploring tiles only gets scout to 60xp? and then they don't get any xp from exploring or fighting?

and obviosly great mod.
 
How much XP is needed to get to level 5? I might undo the cap, or bump it up to that.

But you should still be able to generate XP from fighting.

I think it is 100 xp. I tried it with several barbarians and it just doesn't rise after 60 xp. But does the xp cap from barbarians affect scouts in this situation. I am also using the community balance patch so it might conflict with that? Besides that I don't have any other mods besides quick turns and infoaddict.
 
I had this same issue yesterday. One of my scouts was sitting at level 4 *forever*, unable to get that last 40xp needed to hit level 5. And I need to annex the Cossaks to so I can improve their Feathers!

Idea: anyway we can give Great Merchants and / or Dignitaries the ability to improve tiles within Tribal lands, like you're working out some deal with them to trade for the resources they have without fully annexing them? Or maybe you can start improving their tiles once you build their consulate. For all I know you can already do that. I haven't built the consulate because I'm planning on annexing them once I finally get the Great Scout.

That's a great idea! Will add in the next version, though I will probably, for simplicity's sake, allow any GP improvement to improve Tribal lands.

I agree that there should be an easier way to get Great Scouts. I can't recall, can they be bought at some point as Great Scouts/Explorers outright?

Can't you buy them outright whenever you unlock the non-Great version?
