Timus stood before what these people we’re calling a city. They appeared to be at odds at who would lead them. He smiled at that. He was the son of a great chief, whose father and father before him also was chief of their tribe. Leadership was in his blood.

He overheard them discussing voting. He nearly burst out laughing. Let them vote, as he would need the paper they voted on for his outhouse. Surely it would be less abrasive than leaves.

He needed no definition of laws, for his word was law. It would be his decisions that kept them safe and brought food to their table. These people needed nothing else.

Members? At this he openly laughed! His word was all that was needed. He did not care if his people admired him or hated him, so long as they obeyed him. He would keep them safe and see that they grew into a great people. Admiration was not what he wanted.

Though he knew nothing of these people, he was willing to give his life to better them. They needed a leader and he needed to lead.

With that he strode towards the pub, ready to wear the mantle these people needed so desperately for him to wear.

Leader: Charlemagne (Holy Roman Empire) [Protective/Imperialistic]

May I commend you on excellent theme Methos :) I hope we get more factions like this, and not only two factions.

Yep, another faction!
Like Provo said, excellent theme! Finally, an RPG based faction instead of one centered around government.

I do like this simplified approach. Coincidently, I respect Methos as a player too, and look forward to the future of your faction.

Timus looks upon these people and their political arguing and grieves at their lack of understanding of the danger they're in. Just outside this encampment is great danger, just waiting to strike these people down. Yet they bicker like women as if their breath has no value. They have not seen the perils he has. He prayed they understand the danger they're in, before it is too late.

I think you are two players now Methos, you and Dutchfire :) Hopefully, we will see more factions emerge throughout the game, so we get the focus roleplay deserves. :)

Update:

Leader: Charlemagne (Holy Roman Empire) [Protective/Imperialistic]

Rathaus
Also, Landsknecht units (what's the plural of Landsknecht? :crazyeye:) are great defensive units.

But IIRC, we can only pick traits, not leaders.

But IIRC, we can only pick traits, not leaders.

Factions can pick traits (and therefore the leader since all combinations are unique in BTS). What they can't pick is civ, unless they choose to repudiate the people's choice in the "how to choose civs" poll. :mischief:

and therefore the leader since all combinations are unique in BTS

Except for PHI/IND and i have heard there are two others as well.

A lean, hawkfaced man steps forth, dressed in animal furs and clutching a flint tipped spear. He speaks directly to Timus: "If you do what you say you can do, then you have my backing. My skills as a hunter and a trapper, and my understanding of beasts are at your disposal."

Methos, should we run some sort of campaign to attrack voters in the poll?
