!Hellloooo OT dwellers!

Just the other day I was browsing through another forum that I am a member of, when I saw these pictures. It was listed in a massive thread called "alternate weapons of war" where poeple with no real talent post their favorite images of unusual weapons or fanciful "What If" designs. It was an "alternate history" forum btw.

I ignored all the MS Paint picture of battle zeppelins and poorly drawn airplanes with way too many gatling guns and saw these 2.

Nevermind the poor quality of the cut&paste, just look at the design. See if you can spot the FAIL component.

I call them Ergonomic FAIL.
I've also shared these images on other boards, because I was warned NOT to. Infact, I was publicly cussed at and flamed by a senior member of said forum because not only did I call him out on his poor design and lack of understanding on how to shoot a rifle, but also because I posted these images where professional soldiers can laugh at them too. I was warned that if I didn't take down the pictures, I would be perm banned.

Well here I am, sharing them on the intertoobs. I wonder if I can post them on *****?

No Ammo. :)

One wonders how the ammo rotates to face the right way...

Also the ejector in the stock is not a good idea IMO. And how are you supposed to aim with those things ?

It is impossible to aim those things. The large black cylinder on the back/top is the 100 round helical magazine from a Calico SMG. These FAIL guns were made by a limey that claims to be a member of his local rifle club and has recieved trianing from the RAF. Those I suspect, are lies.
The reason why I'm sharing these ergonimic abortions is that the 'owner' wouldn't admit to being wrong and was a cursing jerk about it. Not only that but the admin that runs that site overly protective of his buddies, so new guys get punished no matter how big of an cursing A$$ the other guy is.
The creator of these images is some fool named Wanderlust.

He's probably a 13 year old kid with delusions of grandeur in his head. I was one once!

Well, I still am. Except for the part "13 year old kid"...

This has got to be the most rediculous weapon design that I've ever seen. Even the United States Department of Defense wouldn't go for this one. The only use that I could even remotely see a weapon like this being used for is the portholes on the ramp of the Infantry variant of the Bradley Fighting Vehicle. Now if it had a colapsable stock, some functional sights like an ACOG and some iron sights as a backup, and a completely different way of delivering the ammo to the weapon, then it might be a feasible design. A bullpup variant of the M-4 would be interesting, but this design definitely needs to go back to the drawing board for some much needed refinement.
