Fall from Divine Intervention I: Amurite Analogies

As nothing has been done about the dark well, another withering has occurred.

Valledia tossed in her sleep, hearing whispers from Agares.
“You seek magical might, Valledia. I task you with creating one mana node of either death or entropy by the next intervention. Do so, and be rewarded. Fail, and your people will suffer.”

For changes not for mortal eyes:
Spoiler :
Destroyed some more trees.

Changed some tiles to be slightly worse and deleted some food resources around Korias. (Nothing for the others yet, as Korrias has been getting too many gifts from the gods. That's a lot of sugar resources!)

Placed more hell terrain around the well to make it easier to locate.

Kenken: Hmm... I took a look at the save, and I'm rather... irked. You removed a farmed rice resource in my BFC, when there is a Crab in the Ancient Forest, as well as a rice that isnt part of a BFC as of now. Considering you're Agares, I dont mind if you go about deleting resources. The fact that there is something like seven or eight sugars is something that should be targeted as opposed to a health resource, as I also noticed that you deleted trees around my cities, and probably worldwide too.

I'm debating on rejecting this save. The AC is not high enough to warrant the loss of an already established resource, and there is no reason to have done so when there are a substantial number of sugars in my territory that could have been targeted. You're removing two sources of health, which is an issue that is too apocalyptic and way out of line at this stage, when AV is not present and the AC is still single digits.

Other Gods: I do check the saves to see what changes before I play. This... is just overstepping the boundaries and is moving back my progress. Unit Changes I can handle. Terrain Changes I can handle. Resource Changes I can handle. But when you start fiddling with a Resource that has had 7 turns (5 Farm, 2 Road) sunk into it and was being worked for the turnset, I feel that its taking things a bit too far. The rice removed WAS from Mapgen, and the worker had been built, not given.

If the other gods feel that this is appropriate, or if you dont feel so, please state so so we can chose whether to keep Agares' changes or not.

Got it
BTW I have copies of patches of X and Y in case someone accidentally patches...
Here is the save, i based it off yours Korias... I gave the Elves the reward I would have given you BTW if you hurt the Guardians of Nature-the God of Nature might get Angry ;) (Consider this a warning)

The Elves will most definitely enjoy their reward...

I feel you're right, Korias. Agares, redo your changes, slightly less dramatic now - why not kill off a sugar or two instead of the rice?

IC:

"Well, Valledia, it looks as if you've stepped up after all. Now, since you were not exactly fast in recieving what knowledge I asked for, your reward will be... Limited, for now.

Do what I ask for and you shall be rewarded further."

Spoiler what to do :
-Build two Mage guilds and train two adepts.
-Research either Elementalism, Alteration, Necromancy or Divination.

Spoiler changes for Taalen :
Give a defender unit in Cevedes the following promotions:
Mind I, Channeling I.
Give a defender unit in the newly captured city of the rebels the following promotions:
Earth I, Channeling I.

Edits for myself and Diamondeye done. Will be posting the story later.

Spoiler not for mortal eyes :
Added a channeling I & mind I warrior in Cevedes and a channeling I & earth I warrior in the newly captured city, as Oghma wanted. For myself, removed Nariac the scout, replaced with the axeman Nariac Bhall's Chosen. Orcish, mutated, strong, divine, potency, channeling I, fire I, woodsman I. That may seem like a pile of promotions, but actually he's little more than a strong axeman capable of casting blaze, and gains a little XP over time. The latter is the main reason for most of the stuff anyway. If someone thinks it's too much, let me know.

Got it. 10 characters

Mammon is displeased that Valledilla had not quarried his marble yet, however, he does not see a reason to punish you. Hastur however, is pleased about the OO and has revived a few shipwrecked sailors in the local lake.

For Valledilla

Spoiler :
Receive 4 drowns at Cirrail. Also... Very long spoiler of what happened
Spoiler :
There was a large explosion, many demonic servants living at Hastur’s mansion was blown to pieces or vaporized instantly. There were much collateral damage to the surrounding area. All in all, about 2/3 of Hastur’s mansion was destroyed, extreme damage considering that Hastur’s mansion was enchanted with dimensional magic to expand its size inside to be similar to a small nation in Erebus.

Belius twisted himself out of giant rubble that crushed him and found Hastur, now fully clothed, desperately searching for something.
“What are you looking for?”

“NONE of your business,” Hastur screamed. He tossed away debris a size of an ogre as if it was paper.

“Is there anything that I can do to help you?”

“YES!!! Screamed Hastur. “I want you, to help me find a Chimera.”

“…You have been making one of those things again haven’t you Hastur?” said a voice behind Belius.

“NEVIROSS!” screamed Hastur. “What are you doing here?!”

Belius coughed and looked at the wreckage. Neviross rolled his eyes.

“Never mind that, Neviross did you see my Chimera.”

“If you mean that black thing that came out of your lab during the explosion and flew away, yes, I did see it. It went that away.”

That was information enough to Hastur. Hastur searched the direction Neviross pointed in his mind. He saw his creation jumping into the portal that leads to a different world.

“It’s gone,” moaned Hastur. “It’s going to Erebus; I think that it is going to the Amurite lands.”

.....

Valledilla the Even walked into the room. Being very observant, she noticed that the fruit she had placed next to her bed was gone. She drew her knife.

“Whose there?” Valledilla yelled.

A young girl stepped away from the shadows. No, it was not a girl anymore. Most of her lower body was made of metal with some animal parts mixed in. Her upper body was not in a good shape either, one of her eyes was replaced with glass, and one of her arms was made of claws. On her back was a bent wing. All in all, it was horrifying.

She suddenly felt something on her chest. This feeling was not fear. It was something that she only rarely experienced.

Pity

The council hall erupted into a flurry of arguments tomorrow morning. The child had asked a guide to take her to her homeland, Ljosalfar, and many councilors were unhappy. “She should be killed at once!” yelled one councilor. Another councilor wanted to examine her to determine who could have unleashed such a scourge on earth… and to study how to make them. Amidst this chaos, one man stepped forward.

“Magus, if you agree with me, than I would like to accompany her back to her home.

The council hall suddenly grew silent.

Valledilla cocked her head.

“Are you sure about this?”

“Yes, my lady, I am.”

“What is your name?”

“My name is Hadel.”

Shorter version
Spoiler :
Receive Selena, the Succubus with enchantment 1, and Hadel, scout with mobility one. They must both make it to the Ljosalfar lands... if not.

NOt for puny mortals
Spoiler :
deleted some sugar resources. ALso changed some horse resource with corn. I just wanted to do something crazy and evil. If Valledilla fails in her quest to deliver Selena to Ljosalfar land... something bad will happen. I wouldn't curse her, but you know demons.

I coudn't delete the sugars because they were placed by another god and he stated he had plans for them, so deleting them would have broken the rules. You do have another rice recource outside of your BFC, so there is no health loss once you farm it. I deleted it primarially to offset the other food resources the other god's added. If you really want to I can re-add it and just remove the farm.

@KENKEN
Spoiler :
Actually, it was not against the rules as I had deleted it first, and Algeroth placed it back. If what I deleted a bit too many sugar, he is free to put a few back. I deleted 3 or 4, I hope that does not ruin his plan. (how many sugar does he need anyway...)

Valledia is walking along her coastline, carefully planning her next moves when the same undead creature from last time came up to her

"The Overlords are impatient, they will reward you now on faith, but your punishment shall be tenfold should you fail our mission."

"I will stay here and help you, and the Great temple of the Overlords, The nemro (Thats what we call it for short) Has beeen built in our holy city."

"Oh, we feel the need to protect our boundries."

And with that, the undead walked out and just stood in the middle of the lake

Spoiler For Korias :
Added Muirin, a drown with Hero, strong, and a few other promotions

Spoiler For bretheren only :
Spoiler Which means no Korias! :
Added a circle of "held" stygian gaurds around maelstorm

Understandable. Sill, I leave the choice up to the gods as to whether they keep or redo the changes.

Mammon/Seon: Do you mean to the Border, or actually onto Ljos territory? I need to get Cartography for that if that's what you're saying.

Why do I have Crabs in an Ancient Forest?
Amathon said:
He's also not the only servant of mine that entered this plane. A race of my lesser servants decided to build their new homes near you great city. Take care of them and protect them and they will help you. And if you will find a way how to civilise them, they could turn into a great help for you.

I should write it more clearly.

For gods said:
The sugar problem: Seon removed them, I added them back and asked if that's okay, when i have some other plans with that. I was under impression that seon removed them once more. I will have no objection if some other god will delete them, but leave them please enough sugar to qualify for the "many sugar resources" level. (Instead of "Insane number of sugar resources")

I will see the progress Selena and Hadel made. If I can say "okay, that's close enough to Ljos terf," I will award you. Border is more than fine.
