I need 2 days, 'couse i must play many example games with my friends. Civs and Units really needs a balance. As i said, wait until weekend :)
 
It is generally best not to go public with something before you have finished major, sweeping changes. Can very easily cause people to become violently defensive about putting things back the first way you had them, when you made the changes for a very good (and often subtle) reason.

I read it all. I would focus on the core game mechanics more than the cards. Designing the cards is fun, but the game has to be enjoyable at a base level first. You have done a great job of capturing the FfH flavor, but dont let it make design decisions for you, do what makes your game the most fun.

But that will probably come out in your play testing. Really beat up the gameplay mechanics and get them to be as elegant as possible before worrying about adding new cards to the mix.

It also seems that it may be heavy on the mental math with percentage kills, high attack damage totals and dice results all in the mix. You may want to see if there is any way you can simplify the mechanics. Simple with strategic depth are the twin goals (though they often pull you in different directions).

Thats my take at least, though Somnium is the only card game ive ever designed so its just one guys opinion, others may feel differently.
 
But I'd like to know the rules ... (or example game) ... :please::please::please::) or on what is this game based on ... Action Points (like in I-don't-know-in-what) ? :)

Like in Netrunner, one of the best TCG ever. Best game created by Richard Garfield (his own opinion and my own, too !) Try it guys if you can, you won't regret it !

I'll see what can i do for fun, as you said, i can't understand this before playing test-games. :)

I can change all calculations of game, while test games, if i find something easier and good, i'll change the entire mechanics. The main strategy is selecting player's own "Army Deck" and i know its weak now. These days i think about a way to improve it.

Anything now depends on test games :)

PS: I have a new idea today. I only need to improve it. (Promotion-Tokens or Cards for non-arcane units, like spell-promotions.)

he is talking about dice here, die mit be missleading :D
 
Hi,

I finished rulebook, with helps of seZereth. Tomorrow, i'll play some test game(s) with my friends, at school. I think, this week, whole game going to ready to download and print (but it hasn't got any art yet).
