Pro-tip: Unless you want to risk dying a gruesome death you shouldn't explore dungeons close to any of your cities unless they are heavily defended or you bring an army along. Also I've heard that you tend to get better results the higher leveled the unit doing the exploration is.

Further confirming my belief that one should just use overwhelming military force for everything.
 
A more relevant pro-tip: if you surround every tile of a lair with units, no barbs will spawn on a Bad or BigBad result (as in, the result still computes, but no units appear).

Whether or not it's intended behaviour, it is well known and has been used a lot.

Hm, maybe bug would be a better word. At least it sounds very cheesy.
 
It does require nine units, in most cases. That's a bit of an investment.

But certainly there are people who refuse to use that move.
 
I wish we had made an advance start or start already with some cities... because it seems that it's gonna take a while!
