Am I the only one who is dissapointed that the "ghost units" aren't fixed?

the game doesn't display graphics of enemy units. Game losing bug, especially on higher difficulties.

Yes, this is extremely irritating. Or the bug where a unit whose graphics DO appear... just not on the right tile.
 
Oh yes. That one. I used to call it "the afterimage bug". I think that's when it occurs. The unit moves, but its graphical image stays behind.

I believe those two bugs are connected.

Surely this is intentional. Its some kind of hidden deception promotion only AI units can get. :p
 
I've had it happen to my own units. Move two tiles, but the image only moves one. Next turn, move three tiles. Eerie.
 
I got that bug on the ItR scenario as the Byzantines... was pretty wierd to conquer Cairo with my Cataphract when I see it was attacking... well, a sugar plantation 4 tiles away from the city it was taking...
 
Unless I missed it , they don t plan on fixing military castle .....that truly sucks!
The game were I noticed the bug , I lost 20+ culture pt !!!!! I mean come on , even if you know about the bug , you just lose the happy and culture bonus on your cities that spamm units unless you want to hard micro every cities , get a unit out one turn before getting the new unit (and still losing ponctual 2 culture ) , knowing that if you forget to do so , the penalty is 2 culture per turn gone for the whole game ...how can this not be in the patch ???
if they were doing like LOL , namely one small patch every two weeks , I d understand , but apparently they tend to have one patch every 6 months or so .... 6 month of not playing vast empire dominations ...

You should checkout the might and magic patch on Steam that is one hell of a big patch don't think civ will rival that patch.

The lack of communication is really annoying me now. I don't know if anyone else here plays XBOX 360 Minecraft, but there was a huge patch for that released yesterday, and 4J Studios have been very active with community on Twitter, explaining where the patch was in development, the date it had been submitted to MS for authorization etc, and then finally the release date and time after getting the green light from MS.

And what do we get from Fireaxis - the developer of the leading strategy game on PC... ? Nothing! Disappointed!
 
I wish there was updated news too but, c'mon, they said it would be out by Oct. 26 and today is still the 17th. If the promised date comes and goes THEN I'll be seriously miffed...

I think you'll find that, generally, information from indie developers is going to come much more freely than that from someone working under a big publisher like Firaxis is. They can't say anything without it getting approved by the publisher; it's much easier to just keep all chatter to official releases. Indie developers like Mojang don't really have to deal with this.

True. This is why we see Indie devs being all nice and `one with the people` until a publisher gets them and suddenly it`s like they don`t care any more.

They probably do still care, but are now sworn to speak only when allowed. It`s down to Publishers to give them more freedom.
 
What's this bug?

Basically if you ever have two units on a single city (for instance you finished building a unit while another one is garrisonned) with military castle policy on , moving one unit out of your city will reduce your culture per turn by 2 for the rest of the game.
 
Just finished an epic game with a sweeping come-from-behind victory.

Looking forward to the patch before starting my next one. :) Wouldn't mind if they threw some DLC our way while they're at it...
 
I thought they would balance pikemen over any other units. I feel they are available far too early on and besides, they completely outclass swordsmen. I've been thinking about trying to modify the combat strength of pikemen myself, but I'd probably have to re-balance several units then.

I thought this was patched in a previous vanilla patch... :confused:
