"Fall Patch" announced

Yea, I was driving in the US once and the amount of times you guys just kept being in the way was annoying. I tried to be nice by asking some drivers if they`d like a fag and for some reason they got really upset. I had to go back to England fast!

Ugh! You people are killing me! Every time I log in, I see that this thread has been posted in again and have that 10 seconds of "Ooh! Maybe the patch has hit!" before I find more posts about...well...anything but the patch hitting, really.

My little theory for when Patches usually get released...

1. On the last possible minute of the last possible hour of the last possible day of the duration quoted by the Dev.

2. Usually on a Friday night when no one can fix any issues that pop up and instantly break the game until the following Monday.

3. Usually on the busiest time of day, ie, evenings around 4-6 when everyone and their granny will try to download; never at 9 am. So expect total slowdown of 12 kb every hour.

4. Often just at the start of a Holiday (vacation) when any simple problems will take over a week to fix after the Devs finish their vacation.

5. Through Steam of course, which will Force itself into your game whether you like it or not, screwing your month-long game royally, unless you`re really lucky and `DO NOT DOWNLOAD Patches` actually works for a change.

I do recall at least one patch delivered on a Friday.

I don't expect the patch until the end of November at the earliest. Otherwise they would have called it the October patch rather than the Fall patch.

They probably misinterpreted what you said. I know that if you were in the UK you were only asking if they wanted a cigarette. But that's not what it means in the US.
