I believe you have it the other way around. PC games have been playing catch up to the console since Pong.

Of course. I forgot about the trailblazing console games such as Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter, Virtua Fighter, Tekken...the list goes on and on.

Oh well, doesn't matter because F2 would have been against Starcraft and Diablo 2 (again). So, if it didn't win by itself it wouldn't win against those two.
