the beta is awesome, the best mod ive seen in a LONG time. its got so much content. But is there any way to load a smaller map, it takes longer than i like to load in between turns. or are you going to make more maps in the future?

Maybe sometime in the future, but this map is only 112 x 132, IIRC. So it is not that big. Just kill more critters to speed it up. ;) :D

i cant get these files.. dl progress jumps from somethin % to 100 % and when try to open zips i get "unexpected end of archive" error .. any ideas ??
 
Perhaps you should try again, there might have been some problems with the server...
 
Ok problem Solved :)) For some reason connection gets reseted so for those who have same problem with me, solution is this : Try to Download these files with a Download Manager such as FlashGet or GetRight or somethin which can resume downloading when connection reseted :)

By the way.. I 'm fan of Civ3 and Fallout for years ... and .. Man i m so exited.. EXELENT work u did there.. Fantastic !! just WOW !!! When i installed it and run game i saw somethin like a brand new game !!! :) I mean i thought MOD is a small change in a game but... wow.. u have changed almost everythin :))))
a) sounds and music?? Just Perfect !!!
b) units, advisors, terran?? Amazing !!!
c) tech tree and rest stuff?? Exelent !!!
d) Civilizations and Leaders?? Marvelus !!!
Once again Congradulations for your work guys !!! You have offered us here somethin really !!!-SPECIAL!-!!!

PS. Just checkin if i did somethin wrong with the zips
1) In tech tree arrows doesnt point at tech cubes but are a bit messed.. Is this somethin i did wrong at installation ??
2) When massive "barbarians" Deathclows appear on map, game sudenly needs one minute to end turn.. Is that normal ??
3) At warlord level AI doesnt seriusly advance.. I also saw with "bones" (My scout dog) LOL, a city of robots with no defend unit inside. Is that normal ??

And a last one :) If you keep updating this MOD (Just a thought) maybe will be great to see in this Fantastic map a M.I.R. station somewhere :))) or any of other "Fallout random encounters" such as Titanic or Sixth Sense lol which can give extra commerce at a town or be just there as a terren grafic :)))
 
In Thor's name thanks for the compliments... ;) We are still working on it, so you can expect some of suggestions to pop up in the final version.

The longer lag time after the DC appear is normal. The best way to avoid this is by clearing nests in your neighborhood as quick as possible before the DC appear... :)
 
In good tradition the answer to that question would be: your guess is as good as ours... ;)

Thorgrimm you know that you constantly think a new concept for it or get feedback from a member and wanna add it, so since there are no written down goals(as in my version) it could take forever, especially if we get an updated editor(One can wish) -Fallout IS an endless world after all to completely implement in a mod.

Besides, I'm not such a great creator and can't seem to work in a satisfactory fashion for my version either. I doubt I'd be too much of help at this point. However if I'll be close to 80% of mine and you're still working on it, I'd gladly help then. But I need to get done with mine and proceed with the rest of the projects in my mind(which is easy in visualization but hard to actualize) ASAP.
If I'll create something I'll like I'll be happy to share, considering it's a genre we share the same affinity for.

Also my forte is what Aaglo/Flamand is doing for you, at which they are WAY better than me, needless to say.

When try to build a BOS airship unit game crashes with messege "cannot find file" .. i ve searched around this unit for a while and found out the reason. Missing dots in B.O.S. Capital letters.. so if anyone had same problem and ya wanna fix this just go in Conquests\Scenarios\Fallout\Art\Units dir and rename "BOS Airship" folder to "B.O.S. Arship" and then open B.O.S. Airship folder and rename file "BOS Airship.ini" to "B.O.S. Airship.ini". ATTENTION: between word BOS and Airship word at ini file there are 2 spaces inserted. Make sure there will be only one. That worked for me and should work for you also :)

Best to ask from Thorgrimm by PM-ing him.. There has nothing seen of him for a long time, and because Thor takes the mods he has started really seriously, this may also mean he took himself the time to finish it by himself.. but then again we don't know it surely. Before the members started to leave the mod team (a.k.a. Brotherhood) there were two kinds of thoughts. At first, because no-one except Thor had much time, he told that perhaps it is the good idea to make sure that mod works as it is and call it finished, but then suddenly they started to do new things, to add an idea that robots may build their structures on terrain (as planting forests).. and when i finally lost the responce from anyone, i didn't understand if all the work was completely stopped or just Thor took it up as his own sole mission (as he couldn't count much on others anymore).
Certain is that with the last upload this mod still had many, well not exactly bugs, but it wasn't as playable as littlebit earlier. Later I have also thought about making an random map mod out of it with many of my own graphical additions that finaly was left out of it, or perhaps even an post-apocalyptic scenario that doesn't follow exactly the same scenarium and doesn't have the same factions but would be similar because the feeling. But as i have still quite an unstabile life right now I have some things to organize first. And over all, I don't know what Thor would think of it.
 
If you ever do consider doing a post-apocalyptic type scenario that is a spiritual kin to Fallout, I'd be keen to help. Movies like Mad Max and I Am Legend just scream millions of civ ideas.
