This is true but some may argue that the true shape of a donought is a torus, i.e., it has a hole in it. We need an expert opinion here. What say you, Mr. VP?

Lets see: Veni, Vidi, Vici is I came, I saw, I conquered. Not sure what the past tense of an are stem verb would be for "we"..
Lemme check my dictionary...
Venimus, Vidimus, Vicimus.
Thats it. Enjoy (ha! latin DOES pay off!)

Some proposed mottos. Perhaps SAaM will translate them into Latin for us. Perhaps we could make that the Penguin's Punishment...

We came, we saw, we polled
We came, we saw, we voted
We proposed, we discussed, we polled
We polled, we argued, we repolled

Here's some:

We came, We conquered, We PIed

Fanatika.... Home of the most confusing Demogame!

Fanatika.... Not Newbie Friendly

We came, We conquered, We re-conquered

I don't know how to say "by" in Latin, because I was thinking "Peace by War"

Pax (by) Guerre (ithink that is Latin for war, it might be French.)

lemme see.. by, by means of, so abl. id say by sword, pugna. ablative is Pugna. Pax Pugna- by means of war (the sword)
Also: spent all of latin class working on this one.
Disseruimus, Disputuvimus, Censuimus. We discussed, we debated, we voted.
Also: should I be baned, ill start an OT latin thread. direct all needs there.

I just realized how old this thread is ^_^;

It is french. The latin word for war would be, i think, bellum.:die:

But what about: Desiderantes Meliorem Patriam (they desire a better contry…)

Woah... Didnt realize this was from August. Anyway, bellum is hapiness, i think. Use pugna. to fight is pugnare. Also: ill be in OT if you need me durring my ban. (unless two more people are yet to vote)

Euh… I maintain that bellum means war, hostility, like in: "statu quo ante bellum" ( like it was before war). Anyway, my latin classes were 4 years back, so I might be confused.

Lets put a great (big) seal on the Great Seal - just so we dont forget what it is for. I dont know if seals eat donoughts, but ....

I found a Latin Quotes site... I just have to find it again. It might be in my browser's history somewhere.
