She was active in Lyon, which was one of France's main Gestapo centres, where they were especially brutal, and itt's where Klaus Barbie operated.

There was a movie based on her activities released not so long ago (~10 years or so?)

I don't know how close the movie stuck to historical reality, but I remember it vividly.
