Corenwal and the Great Plague
Corenwal falls into chaos as an estimated 30,000 people fall dead from the disease mainly in the crowded streets of the capital. Thousands flee the city for the city of Neptanian where the religious leaders there declare a Theocratic Empire. They believe the Bhatotist texts were being interpreted improperly and the gods were punishing the people to make a message. A religious council is set up immediately to discuss how to go from there and their first message is to declare complete independence from the sinful Corenwal Empire. They then declare Bhatoism the only and one religion allowed to be worshipped and they quickly gain support over much of Corenwal’s former empire.
Corenwal is not the only nation to feel the wraith of the plague as it quickly spreads to nearby Tereno. Local leaders desperately try to figure out what is causing the plague so they quarantine the infected areas which really are ineffective during these times. The quarantined areas are mainly the coastal areas as all trade to the capital comes to a halt. Tereno ascends into chaos as roughly half the country just is lost by the local government as riots and discontent spreads with the quarantine. Thousands die from the disease but many more die in the ensuing chaos.
T’lur Pa’s leaders do not know what is causing the disease but they consult all knowledge gathered by Wells of the Ages and begin to call upon their best minds. All they can tell is the disease seems to be spread from person to person but why is unknown. A shipment of blankents the last one allowed from Corenwal arrives but the blankets were used to treat plague victims in Corenwal. Many people get sick from blankets and dozens of cases across T’lur Pa sprout up making any type of quarantine ineffective so the leaders isolate the army from the homeland. T’lur Pa’s discontent Bhatotist minority rises up in the area of Cascades where much of the minority lives in the resulting chaos and declares the Bhatotist Republic of Cascades and declares an alliance with the Holy Bhatotists Empire of Neptanian.
The disease causes T’lur Pa to withdraw its army from Taruq to face the growing internal dissent and chaos caused by the disease.
The army is kept away from civilians to ensure they are not plagued by the disease. Disease also strikes Ilion and is just as devastating but the citizen’s loyalty to the government keeps revolts and dissent really low. A military coup takes place but things stay relatively stable for now.
Various other minor states are affected and the most devastating is the Karankoff States which completely disappears off the map. Dilhava sees minor outbreaks but nothing major as the disease has not yet begun to take hold. Several outbreaks take place up the major river but yet again the disease has not taken hold to make serious damage.
Fizcat relatively survives unscathed by the plague out of fear. Believing the Kingdom of Corenwal is cursed they shut down all outside trade in fear of the plague. The effects caused some ramifications as all trading vessals from the outside were searched before entering the port to ensure the curse does not spread.
As the cities are evacuated or the inhabitants flee to the countryside the disease begins so spread more slowly as there are no longer densely populated centers to hop across. But the upriver nations may yet still have to deal with the worst of it like the Great Sea a once thriving center of trade now almost empty.

Tereno
The effects of the plague are stated above but a few things also take place within this kingdom now reawakening. First the country makes a deal with its neighbor Ilion giving them access to the interior of the continent.
The nation also founds the city Giamno on the island of Giamenna off the coast of mainland Tereno. These peaceful events of course are marred by the governments attempt to isolate the disease causing riots and general anarchy in the city of Turinan and surrounding countryside.
The city of Milani loses its status as a trade center as trade across the Great Sea comes to a halt. Also, the cities main trading partner Corenwal turns into an island of death and despair.
(-20,000 people)
Ilion
The Kingdom of Ilion of course is affected by the disease but the countries civil discipline keeps anarchy out of the question for now. The country is known for its crowded large cities which are the centers where the disease takes place. Of course much of the populace and the royal family flees into isolation in the countryside to avoid the infected.
The countryside receives such an influx of a fleeing populace that the disease even begins to have a large affect there. Ilion probably lost the most people to the disease but because of civilian discipline things go on as normal as possible.

Sienne-Corenwal War
Sienne fearing a fate similar to Paltrone they needed to get their act together and rebuild their empire quickly. They also with the belief that Bhatotism is the root of all evil with this plague hearing rumors from far off nations. They quickly extract their revenge by attacking Corenwal’s holdings on the mainland. Disease helps Sienne and hurts them. of course they lose soldiers to the disease but Corenwal’s instability makes the campaign relatively easily.
Sienne also attempts to take the city of Pestada but their navy is quickly outmaneuvered and mostly destroyed by Corenwal’s sceptra ships. The idea though that Pestada is not completely invincible quickly reverberates throughout Corenwal’s elite.
(Sienne: -200 infantry, -50 cavalry, -25 ships, Corenwal: -50 infantry, -20 cavalry, -5 Sceptra)
Fizcat
The nation was dependent mainly on Corenwal for outside trade and had been influence quite a bit. A small but insignificant Bhatotist minority began to rise and at the same time the disease broke out. The country sees its first outbreaks and for many reasons cuts off trade with Corenwal. The king lists a list of grievances (below) and outlaws public worship of Bhatotist believing it was the source of the outbreak.
Just to give a list of elements that contributed to the antagonization of Bhatoism:
First of all, the plague started in Saliden, which fell to Corenwal.
It spread from there through Corenwal ships, and landed in Fizcat through the sailors living in the quarters where the Bhatoist minority had made a small temple.
The coincidence of the plague striking the Heir when he paid a visit, and his later death.
The closing of ports to Corenwal ships only let the rumors spread and grow, setting roots in the minds of the people.
As the rulership did nothing to prevent these rumors from flourishing, they only confirmed them with their silence. Now, it is common knowledge that Corenwal has harmed Fizcat, intentionally or not, through the spreading of Bhatoism. Bhatoism is evil and dangerous, and those who practice it in Fizcat are outlaws and traitors.
The capital quickly loses its source of income of the nation of Fizcat since trade has been cut off with the outside world or severly limited. All ships are searched for signs of Bhatotism or the disease and quickly sent away. The country shifts its main income north to the city of Rubian where many people move too. A lot of mining and exploitation of resources take place. The metals are worked into crafts and into weapons or armor. The country then trades these goods with the locals nearby the city.
Fizcastle is an imposing structure standing in the center of the capital now a wall is built around the edges of the city and the harbor for further defense. A grand library is also started intended for intellectuals to debate and study. Also, theaters and a public forum are planned to be built.
Continued investment in Rubien yields results

Kaldurraha’Keeista
Kaldurraha’Keeista goes on the defensive as the Taruq conflict grows even larger as royal marriage makes victory not so assured.
On the home front things go on as usual but in the southern reaches a strange malady begins to spread but no outbreaks at the moment. The country braces for the inevitable disease which they heard has brought the Great Sea to its knees. Using advice from T’lur Pa’s scholars all those who are infected are killed or quarantined. However this does not stop the disease for people do not know they have it until nearly 10 days after first contracting the disease.
How the disease will affect the people here remains to be seen but if the events in the south are indication of what will happen they better get ready for a societal breakdown.
But other events may be more dangerous (see below)
Hyoln
Hyoln uses its basis in the nearby mountains to begin bringing out the rare and precious minerals discovered here. The problem is that much of their trading partners have collapsed from disease. They are in a similar situation to Kaldurraha’Keeista where the disease has not yet had huge ramifications.
T’lur Pa
As said above T’lur Pa was dealt a hard blow from the disease and a revolt at home forced them to withdraw from Taruq but an invasion even prevented them from stopping the revolt. Explorations are funded in the north and much is discovered but cool or cold climates are all that is discovered.
See below for more detail on the war with Taruq.
Dilhava
Dilhava seems to be the least effected by the plague that struck the Great Sea without mercy. The plague has become to take root but major out breaks have not struck yet except mainly in coastal areas.
The city of Dihona is be restructured to be shaped like a bird a symbol of Dilhava’s culture. When it completed it will truly be a marvel.
Taruq-Sky God Marriage
Taruq and the Sky Gods with common practices of conquering lands and draining it of al plunder.
A son is born of the two marriages a man that both families have high hopes for to bring glory to the new empire. His name is King Karos the Great.
Now on to the fun part
Greater Empire of Taruq and the Sky Gods and their conquests
As said earlier a marriage is arranged thus the two armies are merged into a grand force. Quickly Karos the Great negotiates an alliance with Carran. The Empire has many problems and more is a uneasy alliance between two cultures but they both have a common enemy and they work together to bring down their enemies. The biggest problem for the young empire is that its split in two with no direct land connection. This problem is solved (see below) as the Sky Gods literally bring the entirety of the bordering nations to their knees. The unification is kept secret so the new massive armies can bring down their enemies with the element of surprise.
Let start with a terrible blow to the alliance set against the empire which took place on the plains of Taruq. Kaldurraha’Keeista mobilizes a sizeable force of 1,500 Ohensskeih (see UU description), 5000 infantry, and 1000 cavalry to defend against the impending Taruq attack. Orders are also received to begin constructing a fortress in the narrow mountain passes so a base for further attacks can be launched. It is becomes quickly obvious as horsemen raids on their supply lines that if this position is to be maintained then they need to encounter the enemy on the open plains. Taruq-Sky God generals are ordered to continue raids until enemy weak is enough to engage. Finally after about years of raids and occupation of enemy lands Taruq-Sky Gods come out into the open to engage the enemy. Both use the horse tactics of harassing the enemy falling back into a fake retreat and then advancing again on the charging enemy.
Well a stalemate occurs for much of the day but Taruq eventually gains the advantage for they are true warriors. They are bred for the purpose of days like this to break the enemy. Taruq-Sky Gods breaks through and the forces of Kaldurraha are forced to retreat. A long retreat it was as their strength was reduced to a fourth of what it was. Then to add to the ill luck another force hammers them from the west giving the Taruq-Sky Gods the numerical advantage. Only the expertise of the generals saved the army from being utterly destroyed but by the time they reached their capital a mere 500 infantry, 500 Ohensskeih, and 100 cavalry remain. Their once allied tribes turned against them after hearing of the defeat adding to the misery. They arrived in the capital beaten and with low morale but that was not the end of the nation still reeling back on the terrible defeat.
Now we are going to briefly move to the T’lur Pa front which surprisingly gets little of the brunt from Taruq-Sky Gods counterattack. A small force of 500 infantry is sent to bribe the Harshan tribe into attacking T’lur Pa. With this minor support an attack is launched but it barely gets anywhere. This is because after hearing of Kaldurraha’Keeista terrible defeat in the north they withdraw to more familiar grounds. T’lur Pa had plans to launch attacks but with the revolts at home and the devastating defeat by Kaldurraha’Keeista from Taruq-Sky Gods they decided against it which proved to be a lifesaving decision so to speak. Harshan launched its attack and T’lur Pa was not only prepared they utterly crushed the attack. They counter-attacked into what they thought would be a barbaric, uncivilized landscape and were surprised to find a city with up to date defenses. The attack is called off but much of Harshan is still occupied.
The Sky-Gods then have a force bypass the Terrian’s fortifications by crossing the untamed lands to the city. They have more then double the forces stationed to protect the city to attack but the defense have the advantage of being behind city walls. A long siege ensues as Terra Trifluentia desperately calls up its southern offensive force for help. The soonest the assistance can arrive is several weeks and they will most likely not be there in time. Taruq-Sky Gods fresh with the element of surprise and confident in their recent victories charge the walls continuously taking heavy casualties. By the end of the attack it is safe to say that Taruq-Sky Gods will once again emerge victorious but they no longer have the element of surprise. A second attack on Industria goes miserably as Terra Trifluentia is now prepared. The devastation of course hurts the population’s confidence. The cities wonder the Templum Fraternitatis is burnt to the ground as much of the city. Anything the enemy can carry is brought back with them as they pull out of the lands which they could not hold against a full enemy counter-attack. Terra is now in the war with so many other nations but will they be able to help effectively especially since the plague is heading their way.
Now back to the further troubles of Kaldurraha’Keeista. The enemy approaches the capital with the intent of destroying the fragile unity of the nation by taking its central government out in an encirclement of the capital. Emperor Emperor Juranijis the Two-Blooded as the enemy approaches to siege the capital his nation’s unity will be smashed. He decides to remain in the city and hold despite the odds hopefully to inspire his people to hold together. An epic battle takes place as the king sends much of his advisors to safety where they can head the government in case of the unspeakable. The king and the enemies of nearly 15,000 in number duke it out on the capital of Maasla. The city holds and the king making a stands inspires to the people as he hoped.
The capital is holding only because of the will of the defenders but can the Sky Gods-Taruq smash this will and destroy one of their enemies?

Peaceful Events within Terra Trifluentia
The northern tribes along the River Animas submitted to the armies of the Terrians without much of a fight. Only one tribes remains be stubborn and seeking protection from Tephen.
The cities of Mercatura (trade/commerce) and Faucitas (prosperity) are established on the borders of Tephen and Kaldurraha’Keeista. The city of Mercatura grows to the center of trade with Kaldurraha’Kiesta while further up north the city of Victoria moves the trade downriver to the heartland of the nation. Luckily this center arose because the economic loss in the north would have been devastating.
(+Mercatura as trade center)
Imperial Tephen
Victor I the first comes to the throne as his predecessor Emperor Joseph comes to power. He oversees the continued peaceful age of the people Tephen with the barbarians at bay and economic expansion on the way. Tephen’s great of fortifications along its borders often causes enemy tribes from backing down or fearing attacking these tough fortifications.
Investment on the border city of Feim takes place with encouraging trade to outside tribes on the frontiers as well as exporting goods to these tribes. The investment pays off bring the city to the status of trade center.
