Favorite Bob Dylan song?

Tangled Up In Blue, followed by Mr. Tambourine Man.

I'd have to say Like a rolling stone. It's gritty, a bit chaotic and a bit cacophonic, and the story it tells is rock music in it's purest: Nobody's ever taught you how to live out on the street and now you're gonna have to get used to it.

How can this thread possibly have gone for over nine years and over three pages without anyone even mentioning Blind Willie McTell? It is without question the greatest thing Bob Dylan has ever done. Plus, of course, its tag line is exactly correct. It is Dylan's best song and it's about the best blues singer who ever lived.

I don't see how you can go past " Like a Rolling Stone " . For an artist famed for social commentary , it's still the biggest , most relevant social comment going . Every word applies today . There is a BOOK written about the one song .

Obligatory obscure track to seem clever ..... Black Jack Davy

Many artists would be happy to call what Bob calls " a phase " a whole career . And his radio show kicked ass too !

Now we need to start a thread for best Bob Dylan-written song that was covered by someone else.

Since Like a rolling stone is such an expected answer, I have to state my seconc facourite, or perhaps even the favourite, which is I want you from the album Highway 61 revisited.
