One think I like about Civ's tech quotes is that the quotes for Iron Working in Civ4 and Civ5 are almost completely contradictory.

Liking it, I guess. Playing the one more turn doesn't achieve victory because it is already known who won.

I play Emperor usually. And in BNW, I've probably heard it like 3-4 times. Ever.

But I still find it halarious that when I was playing the easy game it kept saying that quote. Made my face go like this: XD
