The question, kiwitt, is how often this arises. How often will a ship encounter seven enemy ships that it can attack one after another without dying?
The only time this is likely is if we have a huge technological disparity- say, WWI dreadnought fighting Napoleonic ships of the line. In which case the naval massacre is realistic, and frankly the technological gap guarantees that the guy with dreadnoughts is going to win the war anyway.
Against a peer competitor whose ships are at least within shouting distance performancewise, having "Blitz 7" doesn't matter much. Taking too much advantage of Blitz to attack several ships in a row just means your ship gets sunk, or ends up badly damaged and gets finished off by a fast enemy ship next turn.
