Still, what about my questions? I sort of want to use it to create an alternate form of fungus that spawns under nuclear blasts. It should give negative planet and health in a city, be unworkable even to hybrids and unclearable by the teraforming civic.
 
If you aim is to change let the fungus nif itself use this pink texture without use of a nif editor like nifskope or sceneviewer, the answer is no.
The only thing you can do is link the brilliance graphics to your alternative form of fungus in xml.
 
Can anyone tell me what determines the size diameter of the luminous weather sweep build from the weather tech? Is it determined by how many of those special resources are available be they base level or faction wide? If so, which applies?

Make sure you have manually downloaded and installed 3.19.
Do you have a legitimate copy of Civ4? Reason I ask.

There are many people who swear they have the latest official Firaxis patch 3.19, but then it turns out they haven't. A big reason is the automatic updater inside the game doesn't work correctly. If that's how you believe you got the latest patch, download the patch "again" from here and install it manually to be sure.

Man I dislike beating a dead horse- but I've been all through this, 3-4 times.
I have the retail box Civ complete. Pulled 3.19 off this site on Sunday after uninstalling Everything.
I play within Win XP and yeah I noticed that the first time I installed the game then tried the updater it said "no new updates available" or something- so even then I came to this site to get the latest edition.

I've hunted the forums for BTS info and what I've gleaned is that if I vote to defy resolution for non-prolif of nukes it's the same as veto and it fails. So, that shouldn't be the issue, unless the AI cheats- lol (and I've wondered bout that...)

Is there something in the program files or whatever I can check to see if the unit availability is even there?

HI guys,

not sure if this is a bug or not, but i just had a isle of the deep attack a unity sea former. The former was destryoed, but then i killed the IotD and my former was still there, it was just damaged. so i rested it for a turn, and bingo it was back in action.

is this meant to happen?

It is. Formers aren't destroyed, merely disabled. So if this happens, and you have a couple of ships nearby you can put them over the disabled former for protection until it starts working again. I think there's a maximum 5 turns of unavailability. Reason I say put some ships over it is because usually some native life stays in the neighbourhood and keeps on disabling those formers on the same turn they enable themself.
 
In my current, version 13 patch E game as the Gaians, I have discovered that while spreading Xenofungus over a plot with a Field Lab (and Alien Artifact) will destroy the Field Lab, I can reconstuct the Field Lab immediately afterwards without removing the Fungus.

In short- Fungus removes Field Lab, but Field Lab does not remove Fungus. Which boils down to a waste of time (at least in my opinion).

Is there a reason for this?
 
Is this a bug? Miriam gets her conviction bonus against psi units... is that intended?

In case it is versus NL controlled by a faction having a different state religion it is.

If it vs. wild native life I don't think so (of course that raises the question how a faction which has no state religion should be treated)

So if Miriam is running Edenism, and a Gaian running VoP is attacked by her, and both a Mind Worm and a Psion defends, and then counterattack...

Should she get the bonus at all?

What if she is running Edenism, and attacks / is countered by, say, a no religion Yang using the same units?

Should there be any bonuses?? Where?
 
Where do you regulate what feature types native life can spawn on?
Also, where do you set what types of features are cleared by the teraformer civic?
I added a new form of fungus and I want it to spawn worms like the normal one but be clearable only manually.

Alright, so I asked this a few days ago and no response yet, so here are a few ss to illustrate my perplexity.

The first is of Domai, second AKI-Z and finally Sven all on the same turn I think.

Let me tell ya, that sweep of the Drones is verrry annoying when it comes to finding a target during battle.
It's almost blinding. The zoom level/scale doesn't make any diff in game- they really appear those sizes.

Is this intended or should I be over in 'Graphical Quibbles' (where no one answers questions either?)/ sarc

Should be in the quibbles thread.
But I don't see how it's possible that Domai's weather effect is so huge compared to the others. They should all use the same reference. Is Domai the only faction with such a huge effect?
 
Okay, I figured out when this weather dome suddenly becomes so huge. It happens to me too when I construct a Naval Yard in a base.

Appearantly something in the properties of the FF capital shipyard graphic causes this effect. The only solution I have atm is to link the Naval_Yard and Naval_Yard_Sea references in Civ4CityLSystem to the vanilla modernharbor.nif.

Man, I don't know what that means. You could be telling me that I should keep one eye on the door while a wallaby sniffs a roo's arse as it is listening to an ipod play downloaded Yusef Lateef music and juggling snowballs.
Got nothin from that, sorry.
Except maybe out of his over 1000 tracks YL is good listening while playing PF. But maybe that should be over in "Diplomacy Music".

Okay, "just" download the attachment I put in my previous post, unzip it, and paste the civ4citylsystem.xml file in Planetfall/assets/xml/buildings.

The only thing this file does atm is linking the Naval Yard to another graphic which doesn't make the weather control so huge. ;)

..ha ha...i had the same problem as i integrated my 3 shielsbuildings from the nex war mod! But in my mod, this error hapens not onliy in connection with the naval yard ( i fixed the problem with editing the citiLsystem data - delate them and gave the buildings a 2x2 fieldpostion) aIR:::BLA BLA:::HOW WAS THAT BUILDING CAILTED???
