[FfH MOD]Fall Further

playing multiplayer 2 players 6 AI large map, the game is bulletproof "no crashes" until around turns 250 plus then it is plagued by crashes every hour or two. Any suggestions?
 
We are both playing on recent computer builds with lots of memory. That may point to memory ultimatly being the issues with most crashes.
 
I never had problems with civ or ffh, When i try to run this mod, the game crashes saying something about checking my video card setting. can someone tell me why?
 
Good try on the mod I did like it but if it can't be played through it is a waste of time.

So you knew it was unstable and had issues. We wasted 2 weekends trying to play this mod.

I love the additions you made to the original game, and appreciate the hard work you modders do to make these games better, I am sorry for my annoying post. Again keep up the hard work. At some point a mod must become work instead of play. I would be more forthcoming on the actual status or playability because some of us have very limited play time.
 
Unfortunately I personally have NO playtime, so I have to rely on secondhand information primarily. At the first post I hadn't heard many reports of crashes other than when trying to reload a game, so thought it was decently stable. At the second post (almost 2 weeks of reports later), I had heard enough reports of bugs cropping up randomly, but being more common as the game progressed, that I doubted the stability completely.

I've played the fall further-mod, and I really like the depth of the additions and the new races, especially the scions of patra, I like them a lot, a lot of effort has been put in them I can tell. However, crashes are abundant. It seems that it doesn't crash as often on a small map than on a standard map. However, I really like the great work, keep up the good job modders! :goodjob:
 
I love the new content as well. Tool tip on the traits, new races and spells. Ranged combat. Wish someone would do an air unit line. I would play this mod exclusivly if it were stable. The odd thing is you would think if you saved the game and restarted it... it would crash again the same way but it does not. You can usually play againg for a few more turns. It seems something must be looping and eating memory. I do appreciate the tremendous amout of work you put into this. I would play it single player. But of course the more you have in the game the more memory it must use which pushes systems closer to their limits.
 
We will try that this week end :) can't wait. You guys sure put in alot of ""Work"" for everyone's entertainment. Although creation could be called pleasure and the ability to create a "Great Work" might be pleasure and not work. Guess it must be so or you would not put out the effort.
 
it looks like there's an OOS associated with Kuriotates, so be sure not to use them online until a patch fixes that. shouldn't take long actually :D
 
There is a persistant OOS at turn 330 without the Kuriotates. It started around turn 320 then became every turn at 330. There were only about 6 races left.
 
I cant seem to get this mod to load properly. I have the latest version of ffh2 along with the latest patch, and it plays without incident. When I try to play Fall Further, I can get up to the initialize screen, after all choices are made, then the game locks up. I am running XP, with all Service packs installed. Any ideas?
 
We've had a few people saying that they freeze on the initializing screen. Haven't pegged down a cause yet. What options/Civs/Mapscripts were you using?


For the OOS, can you check (or post) your OOS logs? If it is only different by the Kuriotates gaining 2 extra gold per turn for some reason then it is a copy of a previously reported issue and we can maybe figure out a common link between the games.

I've tried three different Civs, with no changes to the default options, with three different size maps, ranging from huge on up
