[FfH MOD]Fall Further

ok we tried this I was the lizardmen my friend was someone starting with Ar something.

I had 5 crashes to desktop in the first 30 turns. We are going to go back to ffh2 for now. This is crashing worse then patch J was btw.
 
Tried patch L still no luck multiplayer. By trun 100 OOS and CTD's every trun. I will wait for the next patch to try again.
 
Patch M starting at trun 181 playing 2 player multiplayer I started getting memory allocation errors. Then it went 30 more turns before the next one now we are down to every 5th turn.

No OOS even on world spells so far, not a single OOS error the whole game. We have stopped playing now due to the persistant CTD. One observation is My friend is hosting the game on VISTA 64 I am on VISTA 32. Mine is always the one that crashes. I have a little over 3 gigs of memory he has 8, even though the 32 bit game will only use up to 4 gig addressable.
 
0.51 version is releasing today. Quite a few new features to play with, and a ton of new capability for modders. If you haven't already figured it out, we aren't very good at keeping track of this post out here, so swing by the subforums for full details and discussion :)
 
this is the best mod for civ4, period. why are you still not playing it? too attached to your silly tanks and airplanes? bah! what good will those do for you, when hell itself comes knocking at your door? fools! your fate is foretold, I say! repent already and prevent the impending armageddon... or join the armies of doom and bring it to the lands! :lol:
 
And not from Civ5. Great game yes. But Civ 4 is still the best and the best mod is still Fall From Heaven 2 and the best modmod is still Fall Further. And I want more.
 
Fall Further? Try Master of Mana, Orbis or the new Rise from Erebus. Way to necro the thread, dude :D.

Fall Further was where it started, but it is no longer developed, for a loooong time.
 
all of those mod mods are very good but none of them are still in development. We need someone to merge all those mods, balance them with some play testers and then see if people still want more features. If there is a demand. I mean I have plenty of time and don't mind learning but I would have no idea where to even start. Coder ettiquete is not my strong point.
 
Rise from Erebus and Master of Mana are both somewhat continued in tweaking/bugfixing modmodmod(mod)s, RifE in Final Fixes Reborn and MoM in Xtended.

And merging mods like MoM, Orbis and RifE would not only be a massive amount of work, but also I don't think it is really possible. There mods have different design philosophies; and f.e. Master of Mana has a completely different magic system, so you can't really merge it with Orbis or RifE. You could just transfer all the content and (limited) abilities from one mod to another, and I personally guess it would end in an awful mess. (Besides, I really doubt you have enough time for such a job :)).

What you can do is borrowing fitting mechanisms and content, which has happened between those mods.

But I don't want to discourage you :). You probably can help in mentioned projects; and you can also probably try to transfer your favorite mechanics or content from one mod to another. I personally think stable and bug-free mods are enjoyable much longer.
