Nice story. Seeing as it was posted by Immac I'll assume the writer didn't want people to know who wrote it, although it's slightly obvious :p.

Also, nice to see nutranurse still around. Good story there too, although the second court is called the ''Summer Court'' not the ''Spring Court''. I think Spring and Autum were transitionary periods.

I like it too.... the two histories may not 'fit' perfectly but thats okay... the truths may have been lost in time while myths serve each faction just as well... (though i suspect that the much simpler tale of the elven courts holds more truths when the two do not meld perfectly- you would think that the mists know their own story best)...

Anyway - very good both of you

Well, Immy, remember that any histories released by the Mist Elves are released to the public, i.e. non-mist elves included, so they may alter it somewhat. And you'd be surprised! I am assuming a butt load of time has passed since the Mist Elves first separated from the Summer/Winter Courts and now much of their own past is obscured by fable and legend (which is how I explain them not having such technologies as writing, or how they did not have oral tradition at first, etc. etc. As if their history is being rediscovered, but somewhat altered in the process)

And thanks for that, Ekolite, I'll change it right away. (I thought Spring Court was a bit funny).

thats what vruchten came up with. i thought it was funny also.

anynoe seen 'throne of blood' w/ akira kurosawa?

Kraak? That's not correct...It should be Kronik...

That was me, yes, but as I am Kuriotates, I did not think this is proper for me to post.

@Nutanurse, Yes, history is often wrong.

No, no, not wrong (rarely wrong) just from multiple perspectives with various biases.

A puzzle for those of you with knowlegde of stastics and programming:

Objective: To generate a random quantity (between 1 and 6) of random numbers each based on a mean of 100 and a standard deviation of 7, 13, 18, or 22.

Tools: Excel, the internet

Any suggestions?

Kraak? That's not correct...It should be Kronik...

Actually it`s wrong on the map i just realized: i wrote "Kraah" in my little story, and when i`m thinking about it i even prefer "Khraah"...

Why Kronik? (hmm... maybe that means something to the mammals, but it certainly doesn`t mean anything to a corbus... ;) )

EDIT: lol, i just realized that their even exist a town in germany called Kraak....

OOC: a small note to the small story i wrote some pages ago... that just describes how a young corbi farmerboy is impressing "Khraah".
Actually, the capital is not quite big if you compare it with other capitals, because most corbus are living on the countryside.
And in the eyes of a mammal Khraah will anyway look quite different. And they will probably never reallly fully understand your culture...

EDIT: about mammals and non-mammals: are the kappa and the lizardmen laying eggs as well?

never wondered about it... what (which?) lizardmen?

guys- i know there is 'alliance' tech trades going on and i don't need you to specify every little tech you are trading in your orders but i do need you to say, "trade my techs to my allies" or something along those lines.

for trading with others where its not so simple and specific techs are being traded, please tell me what you are trading- even if i have an e-mail from 6 days ago buried with the outline of an early proposal of the trade, you HAVE to write the trade in your orders.

Also, if you are expecting to recieve a trade route, please indicate as much in your orders. the trade section says you have to say, "let such and such trade with my people" for a trade route to be established.

sorry to hound on you all but its not like its something new that i am just bugging about now- its always been this way (always had to include stuff like this in your orders)...

I dont know if you intended to 'forget' or if you actually did forget; i don't know if you are playing little games or not... and i shouldn't have to refer to past e-mails when i process your orders. You have one set of orders to do... i have to process ~14 nations (including NPCs). if i have to go back to old e-mails for all of them, its a collosal waste of time for me and i simply won't do it.

if you think i am specifically talking to 'you', you're right, but i am also talking to about 4 others... so don't sweat it; just write better orders . I know i sound like i am upset, but i'm not... i'm simply giving you your LAST warning and next turn i will do EXACTLY what your orders say without worrying about what you 'forgot' or 'meant to say'. Like i said, i don't feel upset. I am just lazy so i wanted to warn you before i started to be super lazy.

Okay... having said that... to all those who took the time and made the effort to write proper orders, thank you very much... i love the time savings you provide.

yup- never wondered about it... still not sure if i wonder about it.... haha

OOC:
ok, it might not be that important, but when i thought about how to RP the Corbus i started to think about it, and thought that in a way the Corbus might feel more related to others egg-breeders than to mammals...
So it`s just important for my RP relation to other beings on this world...

okay, for the kappa, its up to hbar.
for the lizardmen near the grigori in the ruins of patria, you never met them yet.

Why Kronik? (hmm... maybe that means something to the mammals, but it certainly doesn`t mean anything to a corbus... ;) )

Just a reference to an old joke from how the corbus first appeared and what they were trading...

The Corbus used to sell Canabis resin to Al-Sidar. Kraak is a pun on ''Crack''.

I think the Kappa are more amphibian then reptilian. Perhaps they lay spawn in their water pools like frogs do?
